With the retainer,
Would you be able to put like...A lip one in a septum piercing?
Or is there just like...a straight across bar I could put in for work?

There are metal septum retainers that are straight (or bullet-shaped) that you could definitely use for when you're at work...
Image
You just pop them in, slide the rubber ring over the other end to hold it in place, and you're set Smile
If I had my spetum pierced, I'd probably prefer to use these retainers rather than the big u-shaped ones, they just look like they'd be a lot less irritation on the lining of your nostrils!

Ok thanx.
Im a bit scared to go swimming at the beach with a belly piercing though.
At least when I go.
Because we go at like 7 am(no need for sunscreen, no seaweed, sandbars, its nice, and not hot!). And there are TONS of fish.
And my friend has already gotten her belly piercing ripped out by one.

Yea I figured pools werent that good of an idea. But water proof dressing sounds like something I'll do. If and when my mom lets me get it done.

^ Lol, fish tearing out navel piercings sounds a little urban legend Smile I'd be inclined to say your friend got unlucky, it'd be a big, big coincidence if it happened to you as well - I wouldn't worry about it.
One concern with beach swimming is having it wrenched out in a big wave - but that's really only likely to happen if the piercing has migrated or a ball attachment is loose. Just make sure it's in nice and tight and you won't have any problems.

Regarding septum retainers; you are able to get them pierced with a retainer right away, yes? If you can, would most places have them, or would I have to get them to order them in or something?
'Cause my friend said that she thought you could only get them done with a normal bar and I havn't had time to ask around.

Right now I'm having four earlobes, two in both ears, and outer conch in my left ear, check them out. Oh, and those red-black-coloured ones aren't real streches, just fakes : D I'm going to get tragus, in my left ear too, maybe in next month, until I have enough money for it. Some day I'm going to get piercing in my lip and tongue too, but not yet.

Hmm...
I've had 11 piercings, but now I'm down to 2 on my ears.

I gave myself snakebites once, and I pierced my lip several times, in which I shouldn't because I did it myself and now I can't donate blood, lol...

Cigarettes And Suicide:

Chyeah, pretty bad idea. Piercings need to pretty much just be left alone for a good six weeks or so before you can safely go switching jewellery without causing some damage to the healing flesh, and a bit more time (I usually say about 8 - 10 weeks, more depending on how fast a healer you are) before you can leave it out for a lengthy period of time.
If you need to take it out, as much as I wouldn't recommend doing it so soon after piercing, I'd advise you use a clear plastic retainer (if the issue is about needing to hide it from someone/thing) - my post above shows you what they look like and they're very cheap, and available from wherever you get your lip pierced. If you go that route, be extremely gentle when removing and inserting the jewellery, make sure to sterilise the retainer before and after use (and the original jewellery before re-inserting it on Tuesday), and yeah, like I said, treat it like a freaking detonator that's set to go off at the slightest jolt - if you aren't very careful with it, you're likely to scratch/injure the healing flesh inside the tunnel as you're inserting/removing jewellery, and that can cause infection or lengthen the healing process.
And, if getting a lip piercing, get it pierced with a straight bar rather than a ring, as a ring will cause the hole to heal crooked. Go with the straight bar, then when it's healed you can wear a ring in it and it will sit much better than if you'd had it heal crooked.
Yeah, I knew about the whole healing process and the possibilty of damaging it,but I wasn't too sure how badly it would affect it.
I was just wondering because I don't want it in my pictures for prom x] I think I'll just wait, I've already waited four years, what's a few days?

Getting a septum pierced with a retainer is extremely common, probably more common than getting it pierced with a proper ring these days because of work commitments etc (nobody wants to get a piercing, then have to take it out for work before it's healed so they just get it done with a retainer and leave it till it's healed), so most places do have plenty of them in stock at all times.
I've seen plenty of different people get their septums pierced with different jewellery, from straight retainers to U-shaped retainers to segment rings to horseshoe rings etc... so just ask the piercer you intend to go to next time you're near the studio and they'll be able to tell you what their normal pricedure is. I've found that most places will pierce something with whatever jewellery you request, unless there's a specific reason they use a different type of jewellery (ie I was advised to get my lip pierced with a straight bar rather than a ring so that it would heal straight), and septums are pretty easy to work with as far as jewellery goes so just ask the piercer and I'm sure they'll accommodate you. I'd have to agree with you, what more will a few days hurt? Besides, if you did get it pierced and take it out for your prom, the wound will still be a bit red and inflamed, and might show up in your pictures. Not to mention that if you're wearing makeup, some will no doubt get into the wound and cause more irritation, maybe even an infection.
Give it a couple days and then you'll be set. Make sure you post heaps of prom pictures! I <3 proms lol Smile

I think I've asked before, but I need to ask again.
My ears are pierced once, and right where the holes are it's like there's a little ball in the skin.
I can get the earring through and everything, and it doesn't hurt, I just don't know what's going on.
Someone want to clear this up for me? (Again)

You cant see the balls just feel them right?

Because if I remember correctly those are scar tissue formed while it was healing. Its normal dont worry.

Yep, Lauren's pretty much on the money - if it's not painful, chances are it's just little lumps of scar tissue, or cysts, caused by little chunks of the flesh from the outside of your ears getting stuck in the tunnel and walling themselves off, kind of like a grain of sand turning into a pearl.
If they're not painful or inflamed, and you can get your earrings in and out with no trouble, I wouldn't worry about them. If they do get bigger or become painful at any time, just go have a doctor look at them, and they will either say leave them alone, or surgically remove them (it's nothing, it just requires a couple of stithces in the back of your earlobe, I've had some removed and it wasn't a traumatic or painful experience at all).

How bad does it hurt to get your cartilage [sp?] pierced?
Some people have said it hurts really bad and others have said it isn't so bad and I have a half way pain tolerance.
Also, does it hurt to get a third piercing in your ear a third time?
I have two on each side then I might get a third one right above them.

Cartilage (can't spell it either) isn't that bad. If you're talking about around the rim of your ear, I don't really know, but the inner cartilage is...tolerable.

Cartilage isn't bad at all, I have a rim cartilage bit. It was totally fine. The same for the third piercings. They are just ear piercings, all my ear piercings hurt an equal amount (I have 3 lobe and 1 rim-cartilage).

Is it possible to get your nose re-pierced, in the same spot as the original piercing?
Like, after the hole has been closed for about...a year?

So, if I wanted both at the same time, could I get the third piercings and the cartilage done at the same time, or like the same day?

I would say yes, as long as the hole is completely heeled, I'm sure you'd be fine.

It depends on where you go. Some piercers won't do too many piercings in one sitting. You could always just go to to different places, one for the cartilage, one for the lobes.
