| fifth period. Bleeding on the Floor Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 1712 | However, I kinda want my ears pierced. If I do get my ears pierced, I was thinking of stretching them. Not that big... just big enough that i could put some small plugs in them. So, my question is... How do you go about strerching your earlobes? Also... how long do you have to wait until you start stretching them after you get the piercing? And would they heal if I decided to take the jewelry out? Any help would be appreciated. |

| XLaurenXLoveX Killjoy Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 94 | We all fall down.: I'd say wait until your ears a healed. Then what you do is you find a gauge earring a couple sizes larger. (eg. you have 18g you get 16 or 14g) and you should probably get someone else to put them in for you since it will hurt. And Im not sure if they would heal if you took it out. I havent stretched my ears and I dont want to experiment |
| Cigarettes And Suicide Bleeding on the Floor Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 1725 | asha molly.:I'd assume it's alcohol-based, most commercial ones are. Concentration etc doesn't really mean jack if you're using a high-concentration solution on a piercing that isn't terribly prone to infection, the only way you'll run into trouble is using a low-quality solution on a touchy piercing. So if it worked really well for your surface piercings, I can't foresee any problems with you using it on other piercings. Isaac Mendez.:It rarely happens. I'd be inclined to say that he had larger-guage jewellery than normal, or that he stretched the outside of the holes by tugging at the lip ring with his teeth (I've done it to the right side of my lip and my labret, I can now pop the ball halfway through my lip without realising). The norm for lip piercings is apaprently 14guage, but I much, much prefer 16guage as it's a little more delicate and easier to disguise the scars if you decide to remove it. And a lot of people (like me) simply can't leave the damn things alone and toy with them constantly, kind of like how you keep sticking your tongue in the gap where you lost a tooth as a kid. Playing with your lip piercings, especially bars instead of rings, often leads to stretching which makes the hole much more obvious, and makes healing difficult, if not impossible, because the stretched skin is properly healed and therefore doesn't knit together again once the piercing is removed. The lesson? If getting a lip piercing, ask for a 16gauge needle and choose appropriate jewelley. And afterwards, even though it's tempting as a motherfucker, don't tug at them with your teeth, roll them around, or otherwise play with them - leave them alone so they don't get stretched. |
| technicolor. Demolition Lover Age: - Gender: - Posts: 18361 | ^Thank you. I was very curious about what happened. i have another question: After my nose is healed [I have my nose pierced], I have to take out the stud for school, will the hole be really noticeable? [I don't plan on keeping the stud out of my nose forever, just for school] |
| eslizard Salute You in Your Grave Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 2476 | ^^ my friend got her nose peirced, and i didnt think it was to noticable when she took it out... but her skin is kind of dark, so it just looked like she had a freckle there... and i have my ears peirced (once) but it was horrible getting them done... the ladies that were doing it had no clue what they were doing... so every time they were off.. it took about 30 minutes to get it done... which i guess is why im afraid to ask to get them pierced again... |
| Cigarettes And Suicide Bleeding on the Floor Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 1725 | Isaac Mendez.: If you've got it pierced with a standard 18gauge (about the same size as an earring you'd get in your earlobe), the hole won't be noticeable, but I find that even after having mine for around two years, if I leave it out for a couple of hours it starts to close up and is pretty painful to get back in (sometimes it falls out while I'm asleep and when I wake up and find it in a wrinkle in the sheet, it's a struggle to get it back in because the hole starts closing up). Try using a plastic retainer (I have posts on previous pages explaining them and with pictures, you can get them wherever you buy regular body jewellery) to keep the hole open, or simply use a really tiny stud that's not very noticeable. I see a lot of people getting around with these big chunky gems on them, it looks ridiculous. I get ones with teeny-tiny little gems that are barely noticeable until the sun hits it and it sparkles. |

| Ami von Grimm Banned Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 13505 | I don't have any piercings. Not even my ears. I pierced my lip a while ago myself, but it eh.. 'closed' again. |
| scissor.fuck.cunt. Banned Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 392 | I have a lot of peircings.... snakebites, septum, nipples, tounge, bellybutton, industrial, ears...(their not stretched too big though) I want a labre like The Rev my mom hates 'em but my stepdad loves 'em! Alot of shall I say "older" women always rag on me for having them. Apparently I'm gonna "regret" them, which could happen but right now i'm totally happy with them. They say i should be a proper young lady....no tats, no piercings and all that other bullshit. I just brush them off though. |
| Cigarettes And Suicide Bleeding on the Floor Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 1725 | ^ Yeah, I get that a lot too, especially living in a small town full of people stuck in 1976... I've literally had women grab their children and pull them behind them as they walk past me in the mall - it's ridiculous. As for 'proper young lady', wtf? Why is it okay for all these metro fags to plaster themselves in tattoos and get lame fauxhawks, but I can't have a little bit of body decoration to make me feel good about myself? People need to butt the fuck out of other peoples' business - they just do it to us because we're easy targets. I'd love to see these women walk up to a heavily tattooed male and tell him he's going to 'regret it' - they're scared he might bash their head in, so they pick on women who they think are soft. Honestly. I don't need anybody telling me I might regret getting inked and stabbed later in life - I'm not a fucking moron, I already thought about that - and decided to do it anyway. I might also regret not finishing my TAFE courses and getting a good job, I might regret not leaving town for somewhere better when I had the chance, I might regret getting married at 20 and having a child at 21, but nobody every says a word about that because, hey, that would be really rude, wouldn't it? Peh. People are losers. |

| technicolor. Demolition Lover Age: - Gender: - Posts: 18361 | Magz;: Mine didn't hurt either. The guy doing it said i was probably gonna start screaming and crying, i never did. Lawlz. That made him look like an idiot. |
| Cigarettes And Suicide Bleeding on the Floor Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 1725 | Isaac Mendez.: Yeah, mine just felt like squeezing a pimple on your nose - that stinging that makes your eyes water. Not painful, per se, just stung a bunch. I freaking love it when the piercer/tattooist tells you 'Oh you're gonna cry, you won't be able to handle it,' just because you're a girl - I have an extremely high pain threshold when it comes to needles. I love making them look like fools... The guy I went to to get my heartagram tattoo started laughing when I said I wanted it on my leg, right next to my knee. 'You won't be able to go through with it, it'll hurt too much! Big burly bikers don't like getting their knees and elbows tattooed because it hurts them, you're only a little girl' blah blah blah... I insisted, and then proceeded to sit stock still throughout the entire hour and a half it took to tattoo, talking cheerfully and animatedly and making fun of my mum (who hates needles and blood, so I made her come watch so I could laugh at her), and making the tattooist eat his words. It was great. |
| snow at christmas. Crash Queen Age: 36 Gender: Male Posts: 31690 | Cigarettes And Suicide:Hah, that's awesome. I don't know, haven't tried, but I doubt I'd cry through any of this. I tend to only cry because of stupid things, and if someone told me I was going to, that would make my will not to much stronger. Gr. I want to figure out what piercing I want, because I really want one. Besides normal ear piercings, which I have. |
