yeah they must have had a pretty bad fight for 2 members to leave. i don't think he should continue with the name though, because it won't be the same.
I like stealing o'neal. anyone heard of them?

it wasn't just 'a fight'.
they wouldn't have left the band if it was just a fight.
they said it had been strained for ages, and that they wanted to go in different directions musically.

Stealing O'Neal are teh shiz, as is Karnivool. And Calling All Cars, just to add another one. And Day On Fire.
... and Mammal. Haha, one day I will refrain from mentioning them in every second post. Alas, in the words of Aragorn; but it is not this day...

Rhiannon, you should be pleased to know that I finally gave Mammal a proper listen, and I can say that I like what I am hearing. They are weird, in the best possible way xD
Okay, I've got more bands; Sleep Decade [they used to be called The Periscopes] but anyway, if you're into all that folky stuff you'll like them Whitley -> Yet again, good if you're weird like me and into that folky stuff Architecture In Helsinki -> they are one of my most favourite bands xD

YAAAAAAAAAAY Hahaha. They're like a billion times better live. Srsly.
I totally have to check out that last band you mentioned once I'm on a computer with sound. That's the first band in a long time someone's mentioned who I've never heard of before.

The Getaway Plan Official Statement
Dear friends,
There comes a point in everyone's lives where they must sit back and assess if everything is working the way it should be.
We have come to a decision that The Getaway Plan will no longer continue to make music together.
The past 5 years have been an incredible journey and we would never have been able to say that without the support of each and every one of you.
We are in the final stages of planning one last national tour. Please come along and party with TGP one last time. It would mean the world to us.
This is in no way the end of our careers as musicians. Music is and always will be the biggest part of our lives.
Thank you all so much for everything; we are all eternally grateful for your support.
Love Aaron, Clint, Dave & Matthew.
As much as I lol at them, I'm pretty sad to hear this ):
All the best to them in the future though
that's a bit sad.
they were quite fun at bdo.
i may go to this tour, if i have money. xD

That's so strange, they were really making a name for themselves.
Kinda feel bad for bagging them out so much. xD

Yesterday at Soundwave, Rhiannon, HEAPS of people were wearing Mammal shirts! We kept seeing them everywhere! (By that I mean that we saw three, but hey, that's definitely more than last year (; )

I was almost one of them, but I opted for by Billy Talent one haha. Especially cause I wore my Mammal tee to the BT Sidewave and it was caked in sweat. xD I saw heaps at Melbourne, too, which was awesome. And then I saw Zane (the drummer) and I was like, "ZOMG HIIIIIIIDE!"
What was funny after the Soundwave, though, was that as I was walking out I get 3 comments - the comments came consecutively. First the guy handing out flyers - "Hey, Mammal!" Then another guy walking past, "Mammal, good band!" And then from someone somewhere else in a crowd I couldn't see shouting "Mammals!" I can wear any other band tee and get at most one comment, often no one will say anything. But if I wear Mammal, no doubt any Mammalian who sees it will feel the need to say something. And that is that I love about Mammal and the fans. The passion. The absolute, unwavering, unconditional loyalty. The love of the music and what it stands for that overcomes all social barriers. It's so cool.
