As much as I hate to say it, Yoko was not the sole reason they broke up. I wish she was, then it wouldn't be for the actual reason of them just getting sick od each other, being in the studio so much, touring and being as famous as what they were. Which is really sad, they did so much.
They probably get more royalties than The Stones, well here anyways they play way more Beatles.Beatles related music than The Stones, and they play a lot of Stones so yeah, it's a lot. But the Stones are getting up there agin with album sales, since they just keep bringing them out, like STILL.
In all honesty, I cannot even begin to put into words how much these guys mean to me as people and as a band. They ended up bringing me and my older brother back together after 4 years of hating each other, and for that reason alone I thank them everyday, because I love my brother and I would hate to lose him.
I have some really good memories of listening to Kieran's [my brother] 8 tracks, and he'd have The Red Album going, back when I was 10, 11. I just loved the sound. I mean, I was always complaining to him and telling him to turn it off cos it was crap, but all these years later they are one of my 3 favourite bands next to the Stones and the Who. So yeah, The Red Album means a lot to me.
I'm glad to see this thread... semi active again. I didn't make it, but it would be a shame if it died, they are great guys and I love everyone of them.

Paul actually did Band On The Run with Wings after The Beatles broke up.
But it's still an awsme song, I love how the music changes about 3 times in the one song.
It's pretty cool, Paul is so talented.

uncle albert/admiral halsey does that too, and better!
it's one of his bests.
i've been listening to alot of harrison solo stuff lately.
all things must pass is one of the best albums i've ever heard.
not much to do with the beatles per sé. but does anyone know the traveling wilburys?
they were a band for awhile with george harrison, tom petty, bob dylan, roy orbinson and jeff lynne.
they are amazing!
