Okay...well first of all: That doesn't mean that GOD actually does exist.

Second: If GOD does exist then he created the aliens too. And well...that would be impossible.

Third: If GOD does exist he wouldn't be so demanding as it says in the bible and stuff...if we ARE his children he should love us no matter what. Not just send us to hell if we made a little boo boo.

Fourth: I'm not insulting anyone's religion...I'm just commenting on it. This is all my opinion...I don't believe in hell, heaven, GOD, Jesus, The Devil, Angels, or anything related to that.

I just believe that when we die...nothing happens...that's it.

We're dead.

No one can prove God exists. That's why religions are faith-based structures.

If you believe God can do anything, then it is not impossible to believe God created aliens because you believe anything is possible for God to do.

God did not write the Bible. Man did.

And if nothing happens when we die then, no offense, life was just a real waste.

Religion is like another set of rules, and I follow no religion. For one, they all seem to contradict one another. And if there is a God, why is there so much bad shit in the world? It can't be some kind of ancient punishment!

Well that's the point. There's so much trouble and whatever, cause God is testing our faith...or so we are told.

I see that point of view. I just don't get why we should be tested by a God that may not exist. I'm not going to sit here and start a slanging match, and I'm not going to discredit anyone, I just don't see the point of using God as an escape or a reason. I think your life isn't predetermined and I also think that we make what we want. One eternal question from a certain small band called Oasis is "If there's a God would he give another chancer/An hour to sing for his soul?" Well, would he? Oh, and if God forgives all our sins, then why would there be a vision of hell? Maybe to scare the shit into followers, or maybe because the planet is supposed to be hell! And I got to a Catholic College!!!!

My parents raised me Lutheran. My dad is a Lutheran Pastor. I've lost my religion twice, regained it twice..and now i'm ultimately an agnostic. the only time i recognized my religion was when i was in combat, just so that i could have my last rites if i was dying. Religion is the largest cause of human suffering. It has caused wars and genocide. The crusades, the inquisitions, the salem witch hunts, the holocaust, numerous conflicts in the middle east, Palestinians and Israelis, the catholic church and the episcopal, the bloody sunday wars in the UK, i could go on. We don't need religion, and the world is better off w/o it.

well idk to you guys, & i don't care 4 what you believe in, but me, this is what i believe, i believe that there's a god, coz come to think of it, where do man came from? where do the earth, sky, moon, sun and everything else came from? it can't just poof up like that. & hell was made 4 the sinners, those who have been given a chance to change, & a chance to be saved but still ignored the chances. & i totally disagree w/ Muted Scream. w/o religion the world will be totally fucked up, why? coz they'll do all the bad things, coz they don't fear anything. well i'm off this, coz i don't care on what u ppl believe in, but me i believe on what i believe.

Well, I disagree. I am a Christian, but people know the real me, anyway.
When you belong to a religion, you don't change personality. You just express the inner you in a more complex way.
And religion do cause problems, but it also solve problems. Either way, it's amazing.
And when it comes to hating, I strongly disagree. In almost every religion I know, there is no such thing as hatery.
And all men and women are created equaly. It's just the people that's misunderstood.

I'm Christian also, for me being a Christian isn't a religion. It's a faith and a relationship with God. Yes, I'm really strong about hatred, because the bible says to love your neighbor as you love Him. And all men and women are equal in God's image.

I think people look to religion and God to solve all their problems. There's loads of awful stuff in the world that you need to deal with, but that doesn't mean that God doesn't exist. Bad things happen, but good things happen too. Maybe God didn't cause either, but at least for me, it's nice to have Him around when they do.

Well, no one goes through life just wating to be sent to heaven...

Because if that's your main concern then...you're not living life! You're just thinking about something that may not even be true....

So, I could be wrong...and if GOD is everything that it says in the bible then I will probably go to hell.

But you know what? I'm not scared of that because I believe what I believe...

And if I'm gonna be sent to hell or whatever then I did it for a good reason.

Those who believe in the God and whatnot, great! i'm glad you have something that gives you hope, that gives you a reason to wake up in the morning. I am envious of you, but I have found that religion does nothing for me. Why not say that God said, Let there be evolution? ANd those of you who believe God loves everyone equally, tell thoe gaybashing homo-phobes that. Tell the KKK and skin heads that, tell the muslim and christians that. It is because of "religion" that we even have those stupid issues. WHy shoudl anyone care about what another person practices? What, cause it's not right by their morals? In my opinion, religion is the largest cause of misery as well as hope. Double edged sword. And if we wanna follow exactly how the bible goes, than sleeping with your father would be okay, being a poligamist would be okay, getting drunk would be okay(read about Noah and you'll know what i mean) having sex would be okay(be bountiful) and kiling firstborn babies would be okay(hey it got the Israelites out of Egypt right? so who cares....)

I don't see how Religion can be possible, but I don't see how The Big Bang can be.

I'm not actually a religious person - I make my own mind up and if I make a mistake, that's my fault, and nobody owns me, so I don't think I should have to beg forgiveness, unless I hurt someone, and I ask that person if they accept my apology.

Sure, there probably was a man called Jesus who was born in Nazareth 2000 years ago. I just don't think that he did miracles or something.

If people want a religion, fine. I just don't like it when people say you should be a religion and not the one you choose.

I drew a heartagram on my hand once, and because when I'm drawing on my hands, I don't have a steady hand, it looked like a pentagram, I got at least 21491274982 different Anti-Satanist lectures, which is sad, because that's the religion I agree mostly with.

Of the nine of us, five of us still practice the faith we were raised in. Three have stated they are Agnostic.
One doesn't have a "defined" religion, but believes that whatever form of worship makes you happy, you should follow. Not happy temporarily, or only for periods of time, but truly makes you joyful. And I believe that as well.

I kinda agree with that statement. Even if you don't believe in god, or are not very religious, God helps keep people off the streets. He may not be real, he may be, but whatever religon somebody practices, it may be the sole thing that keeps them sane, or have reason to live.
I am not a very religious person, but God (fake OR real), can help people be happy, and if you choose to be religous, that's fine. I don;t think somebodies religion is something to worry about (unless of course it involved terrorizing others).
In the case of people who are Islamic, and you see the Taliban. The Taliban is a group of people who exploit the reilion and spread propaganda. Islam is a peaceful religion with the same common morals as you or I. The Taliban does not represent the Islamic religion. Keep that in mind.

I don't agree with religion because it is making humans horrible, hatefull, hipocryts (sp?) who have nothing better to do than to put people down.

Because if we did and the world was perfect, and you did exactly what you were supposed to do...then there would be no real reason to stay alive.
