Hey, I agree with Druscilla. I like that one too. Sorry if I sound offensive again, but is Satan really bad? Its like everytime something wrong happens, Satan gets blamed. Sorry, I know its a stupid question...

I think that truthfully, Christianity is a wide-ranged religion. Because when you think about it, Jesus said he loves everyone. If God created everyone, he created gay people, he created people who grow up racist, he created people who choose to deny him.
If God is truly the superior being, then it's almost ridiculous for "followers" to claim certain people have no right to Heaven, except for those who are truly bad and undeserving.

Wow... Shocked
Very valid point.... That is very interesting...
But think about Noah and the Arc....

I think that as long as you try to do good things and you're not some serial killer, you'll probably be "saved", if you believe in all of that.

I believe that too.
I believe that if you are truly sorry for the things that are ' wrong ', then you will be saved.

Some people take religion too seriously.
I mean, my grandmother tries to shove religion down anyones throat as soon as she starts a conversation.
I think her views are wrong, she has no tolerance for other religions but her own.
She thinks that buddhism is a cult and takes the bible word for word when it's meant to be open for interpretation.

I believe there is no exact right way to practice your faith.
There are so many beliefs out there that it's hard to choose which one to stick with.

I MUST ADMIT EVERYONE TO THEIR OWN BUT WHEN MY BROTHER WAS TAKING FROM ME THROUGH DEATH AND I WAS ONLY 8 AT THE TIME WITH WHAT MY FATHER PUT US THROUGH AND I ONLY EVER ASKED FOR A PEACEFULL LIFE IT IS VERY HARD TO BELIEVE IN ANY RELIGION WHEN YOUR SO CALLED PRAYERS CANT BE ANSWERD BY THE ONE WHO IS SUPPOSED TO CONTROL OUR UNIVERSE IM TOTALLY AN ATHIEST WHEN IT COMES TO ALL THINGS LIKE THAT.

I'm not against religion in itself, but what I am against is the way some people read the bible (or what ever is the holy book of their religion is) and take every single word and sentance to seriously.

What I also don't get is why The Jovanah's wittnesses who come to your door and preach to you are even aloud to do that.
What I mean is, why is it right of them to come to our homes and tell us we are going to go to hell unless we believe?

What the hell are you talking about? First of all, elaborate on your first point. Give us an example of a single word or sentence taken too seriously.

Also, I'm a Christian, and no one comes to my door.

Please help me understand what you are talking about.

We have these people from the church come to houses round england and preach to us.
It's annoying.
I wasn't discriminating against christians, but it is only them who do it.

Oh dear. They don't do that over here. Just tell them to go away. Smile

Still don't know what you mean by taking single words too seriously from the Bible.

Telling them that doesn't work, they just book an appointment with you at the church xD

When I said that, I meant more phrases really, like the thing it says where people can't be gay, some people preach that statment out too much.

Oh, well jeez. Out of curiosity, what happens if you miss the appointment?

The Christian religion accepts homosexuality. It just doesn't accept homosexual acts. Weird but, that's the way it is.

However, that's more like an amendment.

When they do their next rounds they remind you what you forgot.

But, excuse my mistakes about the homosexuality thing. I don't know too much about christianity / the bible.

Sorry to butt in, but in a way Baka-kun XNinjaX is right.
There are some people who call themselves Christian but preach that being homosexual is a sin rather than practising homosexuality, if you know what I mean.

And I do agree that the people preaching in town centres and door-to-door can be quite ignorant towards other religions. I mean, if I was to stand in the town centre and preach about Paganism, I'd be told to stop forcing my stupid beliefs on other people, but it works both ways, really.
Not that I have anything against any religion though.

I'm Christian and I've done some things to tell people about sermons on Sundays.
Though I've never gone up to someone's door and said ' do you know Jesus ?', I usually just put flyers in their mailboxes. It's their choice to read the pamphlet or not.

Where I live, mormons go door knocking every Saturday/Sunday afternoon in my area and hand people mini bibles.
I don't blame them for wanting to tell people about their religion, but the way they do it is wrong and intrusive.
Sometimes, they even get you to join them in prayer in your own living room if you let them beyond your doorstep and preach to you using the mini bibles they have.

I'm Christian too. But I don't go around telling people they're going to hell.
We just want you to know that Jesus loves you no matter what. No we don't go door to door.

I concur.
They come to talk to you about the Word of God.
[I've gotten more Jehovah's Witnesses at my door than anything, so the word of Jehovah, I guess.]
I think it should be illegal.
It's private property, after all.

What do you mean by "mini-Bibles"?
Do they ask before giving a prayer, or are they just like, "We're going to pray now." ? That does seem a little odd.
I don't mind if people give me pamphlets, the Jehovah's Witnesses have before and I take it, but I also let them know that I'm a part of a religion I'm very happy with.
