Bloodraine Jazz Hands Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 320 | Kiss Me,Tory: What defines a gender? Thats right, a piece of muscle tissue. What defines a person? Thats right, a brain. A soul, if you believe they exist. What if they don't match?. You can't just be born 'boy' or 'girl'. Its never black and white like that. |
Taylor Lautner Always Born a Crime Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 6639 | i read the story about Gwen Araujo in Rolling Stones. it was very sad what they did to her |
Disarm; Nicole Salute You in Your Grave Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 2793 | I'm not against it, people can do what they want, but why can't those people just be who they are? If you're a really feminine male or a homosexual you should learn to live with it and not be ashamed of who you are. Same with a really masculine female. Getting a sex change is like trying to hide it or trying to be "normal" or socially acceptable. I'm for being yourself. |
rooke; wears mittens Bleeding on the Floor Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 1225 | Personally, I find it quite disturbing. Eh, it's their bodies, their issues. |
The Christine And I Salute You in Your Grave Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 2102 | There was a movie called "Transexual America" or something along those lines. It was about a man who was taking hormones to become a woman. The man has a son that he didn't know about. When he meets his son, his son thinks he's a woman and somehow to man has to tell his son that he is actually his father. I'm for transexuals. It's what they feel is right for them, not for other people. They should be allowed to be who they want, not what other people think they should be. |
Hubert Cumberdale Always Born a Crime Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 5762 | I think that everyone who is "against" transgenders or thinks they're "disgusting", "gross", "wrong" or something along those lines, should watch the LifeTime movie "A Girl Like Me; The Gwen Arujou Story". It shows how hard the life of a transsexual is and how much shit they have to take from other people. |
Lyn-Z Killjoy Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 15 | I think they should do what ever makes them happy ,but I wouldn't want to date or marry a boy that was a girl, no offense but I would just find that weird.I would be friends though. |
scandalous. Always Born a Crime Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 6986 | On/The/Gray: It would take a lot of mental strength and courage to 'learn to live with it'. && if they have to 'learn to live' with being the wrong gender in the wrong body, then why can't you 'learn to live' with someone changing their gender? I know you have no problem with it... But its so much easier for you to just say 'learn to live with it'. I wonder how you would feel if you wanted a sex change but you couldn't have one. If you felt confused && upset && scared && wrong, && someone told you to 'live with it'. Edit: && why did you say: 'If you're a really feminine male or a homosexual you should learn to live with it'. What do you mean, homosexual? |
Kid__ Always Born a Crime Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 6686 | If it makes them happier and more secure with themselves why the heck not? I think they'd much rather be happy and have had a sex change than be miserable for their whole life and never have a sex change. Its the same as with transvestites. People freak out when they see a guy in girls clothing, but it's okay for girls to wear a guys clothes? Just the tiniest bit hypocritical don't you think? Anyway, transexuals and transgenders are very brave people. They have had the courage to admit they don't feel comfortable with their sex, they work hard and take out loans to pay for the operation they want- so it's not as if they are asking you for the money for it- and they have had the courage to undergo (or to face undergoing) major surgery. |
Hubert Cumberdale Always Born a Crime Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 5762 | Okay; Transgenders are people who were, born in the wrong body, to put it in an easy way to understand. Their brains are that of the opposite sex than their bodies. And it's very understandable for men to be transexuals, because all brains are female before they develope, and some don't. So the body developes into a male, but the brain continues to think as a female. I find nothing wrong with it, I think it's just something that this world has to learn to accept, because there is nothing anyone can do about it. You can't just say; "Well you have a vagina, so don't think like a boy." Or visa versa. That's not going to do anything. They have to go through so much all through their life, and they're just trying to be themself. People say "Well be what you were born as!!" But technically, they were born as whatever their brain was born as. Their body may have certain parts that don't fit the brain, but it's still how they think and what they feel. So people call them a "freak" or find them "disgusting", but if it were up to them, they would be the person who they feel they were truly meant to be. Which is why they end up having surgury done, to give them the body parts they feel they were supposed to be born with, instead of having to live life in a body they don't believe they are meant to be in. |
Toro_Sex Joining The Black Parade Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 206 | I'm okay with it. I don't find it wrong or gross. It is who they are. Some men think they were born wrong and believe they should be a women. It is understandable. |
Disarm; Nicole Salute You in Your Grave Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 2793 | Scandalous.: I totally forget the real medical definition, but casually a "homosexual" is a person who is romanticly attracted to people of their same sex. I guess you're right, most people who feel as though they are the wrong gender aren't strong minded enough to accept it. Sadly, society does that to those people. If they weren't tormented for being themselves, they might not hurry to change. Quote That's entirely untrue. The male and female brains have slight but characteristic differences. There are many other neurological factors that determine one's sex. If your "muscle tissue" disagrees with those things, doctors would have investigated it further and found something medically wrong. I think one's feelings about his or herself are totally separate from inborn characteristics that determine your gender. One might think he or she should be the opposite gender, but that doesn't make him or her correct. One's brain's gender related characteristics are ALWAYS correct unless there's something medically wrong with you. |
Hip -Like Badass- Salute You in Your Grave Age: - Gender: - Posts: 3215 | i think it's sick and wrong. You were born with the gender you have because that's what God wanted you to be. Of course, killing some one because of it isn't right, but I think it's sick. |
