Love them. One of my first bands, ever. Hopefully, I'll get to go to their concert in March. It'd be my first one.
I loved their old stuff better. Blood Sugar Sex Magik was a great album. And it still is today. I always hear Suck My Kiss on the radio from time to time. Stadium Arcadium is awesome too. Their sound is just incredible.

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 1488 | January 11th, 2007 at 01:52pm I like their older stuff. I find the new album boring, because all the songs are pretty similar and there's nothing new. But they've been around for more than 20 years, so I guess it's understandable that they're worn out. |

Yeh, it was the same with me, I was like "yeah, Chili Peppers, cool, they're ok" and then all of a sudden I was like "wow, these guys kick major ass" *falls in love*
My favourite song is Aeroplane, don't know why, it just makes me smile.
I'm going to see them in April, I got super lucky and won tickets from a radio station, so the seats aren't the best, but seeing as the tickets sold out before I could buy, its awesome. |

Maybe if you actually took the time to listen to the lyrics and really listen to the music you'd understand. Ever heard of metapors?
And there's nothing wrong with having love in a place where a lot of your history happened. Sure, every song can be directly or indirectly linked to California, but every song has it's own meaning in it's own.
Don't go dissing other people's bands when you really don't know much about them. |

Try listening to their older stuff.
And by older stuff I don't mean By the Way. I mean Freaky Styley, Mother's Milk, and their self-titled debut. Then tell me every one of their songs sound the same or make no sense.
And there's nothing wrong with having a lot of your band having to do with where you're from; all the greats do it (The Clash, Sex Pistols, MCR, the Misfits, need I go on?). |
