1. Always check for duplicates before starting a new thread.
2. Post the band/artist's Myspace, Pure Volume, Official Site or whatever and a photo of the bands.
3. If you don't like a band, simply say that and maybe a little reason why. For example 'I don't like Panic! at the Disco because they sound to much like Fall Out Boy.' would be a good thing to say. 'EWWW! PANIC! AT THE DISCO SUCKS!!!! THEY DON'T HAVE SHIT ON FALL OUT BOY!!! is not. Also, don't make threads about bands you hate.
4. We already have Favourite Song, Favourite Band, Favourite Video threads stickied. We don't need anymore.

Because I really do think there should be, a lot of our bands are virtually unknown to everybody outside these 2 countries, so it would be pointless making threads about every band we want to talk about. |

I agree, but last time (referring to the Aussie Bands thread) a lot of bands spoken about then had an own band thread made.
And each of those threads had like, two pages, if that.
For example, there was some Aussie band that someone had made a thread about, even though people spoke about them in the main Aussie Bands thread.
Does that make sense? |

But I still think there should be one, I mean seriously, there are a few big Australian bands who a lot of people know (eg Silverchair, who already have their own thread), but we should still be able to talk about the rest without threads virtually disappearing. |

I had everything right: searched for the specific title, looked in other bands forum, put in the span of 2 years. After posting them, they got locked because there were topics already out and after searching again the original topic pops up.
Anyone else having this iritating problem? |
