What do your parents think about MCR?

my dad only knows that they are my fave band
and knows its a ROCK band haha
and my mom
she thinks its rediculous to listen to "sad" music when im only 15 (wtf should i listen to sad music when i 80?!) ...and the sight of so much blood freaks her out lmao

My mom thinks that they are creepy and to dark for her "sweet little innocent girl" *barf*
She also thinks that black is a sign of witchcraft.
And my dad just doesn't care about me except when I play music to loud after nine.

My Mom think Gerard Is HOT!!!

My mom only knows what I've played for her (The Vampires Wil Never Hurt You, Thank You For the Venom, You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison, and Welcome To The Black Parade), but she thinks they're really good. She's with me that even though the lyrics are really dark, they're still very uplifting when looked at the right way.

My dad hates them, but he hates most of my music (the only Green Day songs he likes is Brain Stew) and starts blasting Jimi Hendrix and the like when I play MCR. Not that I have anything against Jimi Hendrix.

My sister (not a parent, but pretty close because she likes to tell me what to do when she's here) thinks they're okay, but she can't understand anything Gerard sings.

My parents call is fag music. Well, everyone in my family, except to me, calls it fag music. Or emo crap. Which is stupid. They all listen to rap. What a waste.

I hate my parents, by the way.

my mom thinks they're silly, but respects them fully and completely. especially since I told her about Gerard and his quitting cold turkey and everything. she was like "Oh! Wow, that'd be really hard to do espeically if he's a musician..."

my dad thinks they're pretty cool. he accepts them.

My mom absolutely LOVES this band. Almost as much as I do. She appreciates great music unlike any parent in the world (she also loves The Used, among many other bands). She and my brother even attended a My Chemical Romance concert with me last year. It was AMAZING.

My dad, on the other hand....well, he's dead. But I know if he was alive, he'd hate them with a great passion....but it's not like that would stop me from listening to them anyway.

screw my parnets when my sister went to church they got into a conversation about thema dn the church thinks that its this really really heavey satanic devil worshipper music and its the type that people sacrifice animals to O.o lol

My mom is really starting to like them. She really likes Gerard. She wanted to watch the VMA thing with me. And she did. When I'm watching LOTMS, she comes in and watches too...sometimes. My dad has never said anything.

Although my parents don't like making comments, my oldest brother decided he'd make comments while sitting near me whilst I watched LOTMS, he had something to say about everyone.

On Gerard: "Was that guy on drugs or something, he keeps touching his face, he looks like he's on something right now or he's going through wtihdrawl."

On Mikey: "That is one dumb motherF****er."

Frank: "...wow..."

Ray: "What does that guy scratch his neck every five minutes?"

my parents dont care really what i listen too. i even have a poster on my wall of them, which reminds me i need to tell my sis she needs to but me a new one for my B-Day

my parents are okay with MCR they dnt like them but they dnt have a problem with me listenin to them bcz they cant chose wat type of music i listen to. but wen ive got MCR on full blast my mum cums in n tells me to either turn it dwn or off so i listen to my ipod instead REALLY LOUD!!!!! My mum keeps saying really goddamn creepy stuff like "Gerard with dark hair looks like your brother" (WHICH HE DOESN'T) and "Gerard with blonde hair looks like your uncle" (WHICH HE DOESN'T). Musically, both parents hate it, but they are good enough to admit it's because they're old with no taste!
