Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 9672 | December 26th, 2006 at 09:09pm It's funny. My parents don't even know I like them. They don't know I own the albums, or any of the other loads of merch I have. I kind of keep it hidden with my boots and tripp pants. They don't really accept the way that I am (the clothes I wear, and the music I listen to), and I don't force it. When I'm away at school, I can do what I want and dress how I want, so I don't care. My mom has seen the WTTBP video, and didn't stop complaining about how stupid/creepy it was. My father on the other hand watches MTV for 2 seconds and complains for me to turn it off. If he hears any song where they curse in the lyrics, he freaks. He has no idea who they even are. It kinda sucks though. I wanted all kinds of mcr shit for christmas, but couldn't get it. |

oh heck no, thats just wrong lol
anyway my mom(i dont live with my "father" ) doesnt speak much english which is kind of a plus lol though the other day she did ask me what they sing about and i just explained "Helena" and she thought that was nice lol... she saw WTTBP the other day and she thought they were scary looking o.0 but then again she thinks that everyone who gets on stage and rock like that are into drugs and stuff.
my sister who is an instigator keeps telling her that i listen to scary music and that they're with the devil and stuff like but i think my mom doesnt really believe her cuz she doest tell me anything...at least til now she hasnt. |

it's not that shameful.
my mom went to Twisted Christmas with me on the 15th. Now that's shameful... Twisted Christmas is this huge rock concert this radio station called Q101 has been putting on for 13 years. This year it was Rise Against & My Chemical Romance.
I had to go to that with her...shame. >.>
Lol.
but, eh...she likes 'em. She just likes the fact that their from Jersey since we know people from Kearny...I think that's where they live. -shrugs-
& that Bob's from Chicago and went to junior hight about 10 minutes from my house O__o.

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 132 | December 27th, 2006 at 11:21pm My parents don't support me in anything I do. Any of my fine arts, the way I dress, the music I listen to, nothing. So mostly, I stay at my best friends house down the street. I eat there, sleep there, watch TV there, and of course, listen to MCR with her there. She's the one who introduced me to them back when they were an underground band. *sigh* The good old days. Not that I don't like them now, but face it, every bands the best underground IMHO. I don't know. Anyways, yeah support factor in my life from my parents=0. That's pretty much my lifes sotry. Can anyone relate? |

Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 28660 | December 30th, 2006 at 12:03pm I got my nana to listen to Early Sunsets and Demoliton Lovers, and she said the line in Demolition Lovers about snow on the desert sky was pretty
Then my mom was saying how she thinks he's gay.
Mom: Brandy, if you're a guy, and you dip into the samesex waters, you're gay
Then her boyfriend was like, "He likes weiners"
Then my cousin Malyssa was trying to say Gerard
Jared
Gerrd

my friend has a "hard" time saying Gerard.
But that's because she doesn't say her R's really so I'm like "Say the fucking R's!"
she just stares at me and says, "I am! It's not easy for me!"

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 10927 | December 30th, 2006 at 02:29pm My mom likes a couple songs (She actually downloaded "All I want for Christmas is you" but then again she has a thing for Christmas music.) and my Dad disapproves of my obsession with them and thinks they're making me depressed. Whenever I'm sad, they automaticly jump to the conclusion that I'm depressed and threaten to make me listen to "happy music" cause they say I'm a "goth chick who spends all her time alone in her dark room blasting screm-o music". |
