My Chemical Romance shelled by crowd
Band bottled at Carling Weekend: Reading Festival:
My Chemical Romance have been subjected to a heavy bottling while performing on stage at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival today (August 27).
The band were pelted repeated by the audience throughout their set on the main stage.
However while the group tried to battle through and continue their performance, the constant shelling clearly upset frontman Gerard Way.
After sarcastically asking for the crowd to boo and hiss, the singer declared: "We might be outsiders today, but we represent every outsider out there".
He then introduced a track saying, "This song is called thanks for all the bottles, thanks for all the piss, thanks for all the golf balls, thanks for all the apples and thanks for all the sticky shit."
The singer did briefly get the whole crowd on his side, when in response to a recent article that suggested emo promoted self-harm, he got the audience to chant "Fuck the Daily Mail" three times. |

I just watched most of their set live on TV just an hour or so ago and I didn't think they got bottled badly at all o.O
I saw a few chucked around, yeah, but not too many.
But then again it didn't show the entire set so I don't know.
I'm really upset reading that, I was meant to have been there and I would've cried if I saw that happen. |

That's not from Reading. That's from the gig they played in Edinbrough on Thursday.
Ilse?! Whoa...Yeah:Were the audience really upset at them for something?
The audience bottle people they think suck, basically.
Like a couple of years ago 50 Cent played there and got bottled off the stage.
But I'm thinking the bottles could've been from Slayer fans left over down the front from Slayers set.
Because when I saw them (MCR) on TV, they got cheers right to the back and had a lot of people singing. So it's all a bit odd |

If you don't like the band and are in the front move to back or something and let the MCR fans in the front. They should've done that when their fave band wasn't on stage anymore. |

I KNOW!
I mean I was there at Leeds yesterday, and there were this band on stage that I really don't like but I'd NEVER bottle them.
I'm hoping it was just pissed off Slayer fans (I don't know why they'd be pissed off LOL...but still.) They were on like 15 minutes after Slayer so it was probably some people thinking they were 'fags' or something |

I did think I saw Gerard look a bit upset at one point, but I honestly didn't realise it was as bad as it was.
I'm really upset now. |

I just hope this won't stop them from coming back to England.
Nah, it won't. They're too awesome guys, right? |
