Posts: 31 | February 22nd, 2007 at 11:10pm I grew up on punk and ska, before punk was pop-punk anyhow, and metal and industrial and new wave, and then when I was a little older I discovered the rave scene and hardcore (as in gabber/speedcore) and happy hardcore (which is probably the most obnoxious form of electronica in existence, in retrospect) and then back into punk and actual hardcore (or at least, hardcore as the general population understands hardcore and not 180bmp gabber) when I realized that staying up all night and crunching pills wasn't a healthy lifestyle choice.
Moral of this snippet = guitars make elixir happy. |

Posts: 331 | February 24th, 2007 at 11:51pm I'm from the South,so I grew up with country,and I like a few country songs today.The first music I was REALLY into was rap,and that in like,the sixth grade.Through rap,I discovered Michael Jackson.I am so into his music.
I was watching TV one day and saw something about Motley Crue,and I got into them and 80s metal.My best guy friend LOVES Slipknot,and he got me into them two a couple of years ago.That's how I got into brutal,heavy,heavy metal.And I eventually discovered bands like Fall Out Boy and Panic!,but I'm not really much into that type anymore,but I like some.
So yeah,I guess I like everything,but I'm really into punk and industrial stuff and rap metal-my favorite bands are Slipknot,Linkin Park,and KoRN.Lacuna Coil,Muderdolls,and Stone Sour aren't too bad either. |

but now I've moved onto more Alternative stuff.
I'll always have a soft spot for early Metal. 70's + 80's.
I used to loathe Screamo, but I've taken a liking to some Drop Dead, Gorgeous songs.
Gym Class Heroes is rap, + I love them, but they actually play their own
instruments instead of all this backing crap, so I guess there is a difference between them + more mainstream stuff. |
