According to The Sun, the boys shall be doing a signing in London later this week!
Big Chemical reaction expected
October 09, 2006
WARNING to parents: Lock up your daughters and hide the eye-liner . . . because this bunch of American ghouls arrive in the UK today.
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE are here to promote the release of their brilliant new single Welcome To The Black Parade, out today.
Police are expecting such hysteria at their London record shop signing later this week that they have refused permission for the event to be publicised.
Lead singer GERARD WAY looks ill to me — but to a younger generation, apparently, he is the most fancied man in rock.
MCR are the leading lights in the Emo (emotional) genre and have two albums under their belt.
But their new CD The Black Parade — about a character called The Patient who is dying tragically young — is a work of epic genius and will turn them into one of the biggest bands on the planet.
Other cheerful tracks include Cancer, Dead, and House Of Wolves.
Emo fans like to dress all in black, wear make-up (even the blokes) and generally seem miserable.
But however dreary it all may sound, MCR are being talked of as the NIRVANA for our times.
Now I'm freaking out! |

i found the sarcasm a bit dry.
but hey hum.
it's getting a wee bit annoying that all these newspapers are making articles about 'emo' culture, and mentioning MCR in all of them, as some kind of a prime example.
does anyone else find it aggrivating?
first the daily mail, the observer and now the sun.
i suppose i shouldn't complain, the observer and the sun's articles, at least weren't completely ignorant or rude.
it's still miffing me a bit though. |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 20910 | October 9th, 2006 at 10:45am I doubt I'll get to go to the signing, especially if it's announced at really short notice (I'm guessing this apparent announcement on Radio 1 tonight will be about it?)
But yeah, the whole emo thing is pissing me off no end. MCR are NOT emo and neither are us fans! So I really wish they would STFU! |

wow whoever wrote that seems as if they have serious issues against MCR and 'emos' which is sad . and gerard does look sickly now because of his hair. i wish i lived in london. but no. i have to live in the stupid USA. where nothing comes to where i live because nobody even knows my state exists. |
