I scrolled through all these topics and even did a search to find there are no threads about the Smashing Pumkins! Eek! So come call you Smashing Pumpkins crazed people! Anybody heard the news that Billy is trying to restart the band again? On wikipedia it looks like Jimmy has agreed to come back but D'Arcy and James haven't said a word. I doubt D'Arcy will come back, there's just too much tension between her and Billy- considering he called her a "mean spirited drug addict" in his blog.
I really hope they reform, I just wish the band could push aside their bitterness towards each other and be the amazing artists they used to be. Maybe that's asking too much, ah well, I just hope to hear another album coming from them soon.

Today is an awesome song! They really do make the most soothing songs yet they have some heavy ones like Zero (and honestly, I find that soothing too somehow). I think my favorite song is Ugly. Call me emo but I love the lyrics.
Now that you bring that up, Billy Corgan even admit Gerard looks exactly like him! HAHA! I even saw a video a week ago, it was hilarious!

Hmm, well my favorite album is 1979 [single], one of their really early albums so I'd recommend that since it's my favorite album. Also, MACHINA/The Machines Of God would be a good album to pick up. |
