Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | June 5th, 2007 at 07:05am who do you reckon will support MCR when they come back on the proper black parade tour? Like...something bigger than another day down? something as big as MUSE? that way it'll be like getting 2 proper concerts in one *rubs hands*... |

Like not dates, but they actually are?
'Cause at one of the Sydney shows Gerard said they'd be back in August, but I'm pretty sure they're over in Germany in august. |

No chance someone big will support them.
We have a thing in Australia where overseas bands have to have at least one Australian band playing with them or something. It's only swayed for very special occasions or something?
idk but a big band is driving my ticket prices up, and I'm still bitter that I'll never get to see them for $35 again. |

$35, tiny venue, and it didn't sell out for days.
Good times. |

It still ranks as my favourite MCR show to this day.
Third best day of my life.
Lmao, here's a bit of my review of the show;
It hits 11PM. "I need to go soon!" Bam yells above the noise.
We curse at MCR and their late-ness. I mean, I have to be up at 5am tomorrow to get in line for Green Day!
The minutes trickle past 11. Each moment I feel more and more sick. I can't wait. I want to see them right now - wait, did the lights just dim?
Did it just get darker in here?
IS THAT MOVEMENT?
IS SOMETHING HAPPENING?
DID THE BACKGROUND MUSIC JUST STOP?
WHAT IS GOING ON AND WHY CAN'T I SEE ANYTH - IS THAT RAY? IS THAT BOB? IS THAT MIKEY, IS THAT FRANK?
BANG.
The first chords of Thank You For The Venom pierce our ears.
I scream harder than I have in my whole life.
It's happening, it's happening.
I am seeing My Chemical Romance.
I don't know whether to grin, to cry, to sing or to scream.
It's a blur, Gerard rushes to the stage.
Not bothering to acknowledge the audience, he dives head-first in to the opening lyrics; Sister, I'm not much a poet but a criminal, and you never had a chance!
I laugh as Gerard drops to his knees and slaps himself repeatedly.
This man is deranged.
This man is my hero.
Here's a pic my bestfriend took;
It was the best ever, he just put the towel on his head and started going, "Boooo!"
...And now I reallyreally want them to come back ;_; |

There's a fine if they don't have an Aussie band. Like with Green Day, they chose to pay the fine and keep My Chemical Romance and Jimmy Eat World on the tour. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2281 | June 7th, 2007 at 10:18pm I think it just acts as extra incentive to make bands stick to the having the Aussie support rule. I'm not entirely sure who enforces it. I only know about it because my bf's brother works with bands like doing promotions and driving the bands around when they get here and getting them whatever they want and so forth, so he's told us about things like that.
MCR's '05 Melb sideshow was the only one I've missed. Gutted. I was so broke and had to choose between Green Day or the sideshow so naturally chose the see them play with Green Day. Gee totally rubbed it in when he was all "This is our last show in the Green Day tour, but we're playing a sideshow tomorrow," I'm standing there thinking "let me come!"
They seriously have to come back soon. I had a dream two nights back that I was at an MCR concert, it was so awesome and realistic, and then I woke up and was like doh. I miss them so much right now. I so hope they come in the summer so I'm not at Uni and can go to other shows besides Melb. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | June 8th, 2007 at 03:45am following bands on their tour was something that never occured to be i could do...but since i may be taking a semester off uni...and melbourne is such an inspirational city...i may feel like purposely coinciding a 2nd melbourne trip this year with MCR's concert- i mean...my very valid excuse would be...art galleries, fashion, exhibitions & a concert all in one trip.
oooh i'm getting excited now! *WIKID*! |

^ and the UNSW Roundhouse.
That’s the one I went to, it was so much fun!
While The Hot Lies were playing, MCR were on the top level (I have no idea if anybody knows what I’m talking about lol) and they were trying not to be noticed, but Ray’s hair was poking over the top of the wall-type-thing XD
It was so funny.
And they played 89364078465 Bon Jovi songs while they were setting up, and everybody was singing XD
Ahhh, that day was so much fun!
