Personally i find the song quite moving. Cancer effects 1 in 3 people so why not write a song about it.?
Cancer wont disappear coz people dont wanna hear about it.
Cancer knows no bounds , it has no prejudices.
I for one lost the most important person to me thru cancer and i applaud MCR for bringing the sensitive subject to the fore Cool

The radio presenter thing on Horizon radio last week when he announced the number 1 said 'Can the EMO rockers from NJ really be number 1 again?' I got mad at that...emo? its stupid but anyways back to the actual song. I think that just because MCR are the only people brave enough to put such a song on their album they should not be critisised for it. It IS a very horrible thing, cancer, but to be honest, I think its actually maybe voicing some cancer victims views. I mean if you'd been suffering for so long would you not want to just get it over with too? Why shouldn't Gerard and the boys make such a song? And ^^ thats a good point too myxchemicalxangel.

No, they really couldn't.
Cancer is the whole theme of the CD, that's why the paitient is dying. It wouldn't be the same album without the song, and in the Limited Edition I read that even they were hesitant about putting the song on.

I'm sosososososo glad they did.

I think Cancer is an awesome song. There's nothing wrong with being honest. It's not as if they're saying:

"You have cancer because you suck balls and you're gonna die boo hoo!"

They telling the story of a cancer patient and I find the song to be quite moving. People shouldn't critique them, in my opinion.

As for the emo thing...meh, people can say what they want, we all know MCR aren't "Emo Stars", haha.
