Is anyone here a National Merit Scholar? I'm about to take my PSAT and I was wondering if that really had that large of an impact on your college search.

i got my associate's degree in business at a small private 2-year college.
and i transferred to a 4-year college and am getting my bachelor's degree in marketing.

I'm currently studying Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology at University of Perpetual Help.
I liked it because it's a very good pre-medicine course and it's really challenging.

I'm sending in my applications to college within the next couple of days, actually.
I'm gonna be a music ed major, which means that I have to audition no matter what....I play piano, by the way. I'm excited but scared and I have my first audition on November 11th!

I have no idea where I want to college or what I want to go to college for, but I know I'm definitely going.

I've been thinking about doing something in English, but I'm not sure yet. I think the final decision will really be made when I send out my applications, I suppose. Which is entirely too late, but I can't make huge decisions like that until it's like, the exact moment when it needs to be made. Cheese

Last semester, I took Biological Science [Zoology and Human Biology], General and Inorganic Chemistry, Introduction to Med. Tech. [where we dealt with a lot of blood], and some other subjects. And this upcoming semester, I'm planning to take Anatomy and Physiology, Maths, Analytical Chem, and Physics if they would allow me.
And I want to be a surgeon, so I would like to continue it to Medicine.

^I'm on my second year now. It's a four-year program.
Next academic year[June 2010] I'm about to take major subjects which includes Microbiology, Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and some others.
And wow, we almost have the same curriculum! Although I have more subjects than you do.
That's okay, really. you can always ask questions to me. :'D

awesome, my degree is three years, but i plan on doing honours, so it'll take four. (:
& i wish we did take more subjects but you can't. D: it's the standard number across all bachelor degrees.
i'm really looking forward to starting though, i'm currently doing nursing which i hate,
and now i'm annoyed that i've been set back a year, but what can i do?

you can take anything and apply for medicine here, it just has to be a bachelors degree.
i'm only changing because i'm bored, the course is easy,
i only have twelve contact hours a week, and i'm not challenged.
so i looked for a change and i really like the look of the subjects in medical science.
alot of people i know have done a year of uni and then changed degrees,
you never really know until you get in and try something.
& that's exciting, i don't get to do that till jan.
i'm not ~technically in the course yet, but there's no way i wouldn't get in.

I start Uni next year (hopefully).
I'll be doing a B of Communication and Media Studies, with a double major of Screen Studies and Journalism. My careers advisor freaked out when I selected my Screen Studies major, so I'm picking up journalism as a back up ha ha.

I'm planning on either going to University of Illinois or Ohio State University next year.

I visited Ohio State last week and its so awesome, plus its a really good school. Its huge! It has around 55,000 students there, but I think I'd like going to school with lots of different people. Makes it interesting in my opinion.
I reeeally want to go to Ohio State but its out of state and my mom doesn't want me too far away. We'll see how that works out xD

I'm probably majoring in psychology, as of right now I think I would like to go into clinical work, but my interests are kind of all over the place. I was considering doing something with costume design or film production, stuff like that (I know, totally opposite from psych) so who knows what I'll end up doing. I think the psych is a bit more realistic for me though.
