this night, walk the dead
in a solitary style
and crash the cemetery gates.
in the dress your husband hates
way down, mark the grave
where the search lights find us
drinking by the mausoleum door
and they found you on the bathroom floor

The song is obviously from the male who the wife cheated with because he's saying to her, "...the dress your husband hates..."

Okay..
To set you ALL straight...
Cemetery Drive was NOT NOT NOT written about comitting Adultery OR scuicide.

Gerard Way himself, has told me it was written about a girlfriend of his.
He was in love with her since they were ten and were together until she died when they were 15.
He was walking her home one day from his house and a car came over the curb and crushed her.
It was dark and raining outside.
The guy who hit her just left.
She died in Gerard's arms.
He went home and wrote Cemetery Drive.
That in fact is the first ever MCR song, only at this point in his life he had no idea of an MCR.
He was never going to use it for the band, but it seemed right at the time.

There ya go kids..

This song is about a women that got abused by her husband, and ends up killing herself because of all the pain getting to her. Abuse can go a far way, and this song proves that point. The husband ends up making his wife kill herself, which has probably happened before... so that is my view

I kind think that she is lying...cause the song really doesn't seem like it is about that.

I had never noticed the "Don't do it's" before until I just heard the stripped version.

I originally found "Cemetary Drive" a very heartbreaking song in general...but hearing the pain in Gerard's voice just makes it even sadder when he says "don't do it"....*sniffles*

OK, I've been reading the opinions... there isn't one that is right, except for the second one of the site, that says it's about a friend of mikey and gee.
For every person fan enough to have "life on the murder scene" you must have listened to the CD, right? well, if you've heard cemetery drive there you must have heard gerard saying "this song is about the hardest drive me, mikey and the band ever had". This drive was so hard becouse of their friend, that shot herself just a few days before.
hope I made it clear...
