Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 11846 | November 4th, 2006 at 09:05pm Gerard wrote this song as a tribute to his grandmother. However, he's also claimed it is an open letter to himself for not spending a lot of time with her before she died. |

Age: 38 Gender: Female Posts: 56 | November 22nd, 2006 at 05:34pm it's really ironic; for me.
at the same time that helena was released, my grandmother died. my chem brought me through that. it helped majorly.
and just a week and two days ago, my other grandmother passed. the both of them always believed in me, and i think they were the only two in my family that really knew me. mychem is once again, pulling me through.
and..
my name is elena.

'Cause it says " And like a blade you stain" But it didn't realy make any sense to me at all that time .. But when I heard how much Gerard loved his grandmother and how he wrote this song to her, the pieces fell into the right places ..
But this is an amazing song (x |

the ballerina, Tracey Phillips, was the best part.
she added a lot of visual meaning. |

The song is amazing, and the video is a perfect match to it. The first time I heard it was when I saw the video by chance in my college's student lounge. To be honest, I hardly noticed the song itself, the video was so spectacular. I was just dumbfounded by it. |
