I think that the song is about maybe Gerard or some of the other members in the band think that they could of done better, acted better, bean a better person. Gerard sings that 'you should of raised a baby girl, i should of bean a better son' its like hes saying sorry that he probably thinks he could of bean, a better son.
And there are other people who dont really treat there parents with much respect and they pobably might be spoiled or something. they probably regret being bad and wish they could start over and be good children
w.e
i might be wrong, but thats my opinion |

[[Not the song, the word. The word mama is literally war.]]
That's what I think anybryar.
He's not neccesarily talking to his mom....but he's talking to or about war. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 1543 | February 15th, 2007 at 06:26am The song is about a dying or wounded soldier raging against his mother in a letter while he's on the battlefield. I'm sure somebody's already said that but whatever. I need to rack up posts... |

indeed. pink floyd is quite good... my mother loves them, which is quite a bit odd.
but yes, i am completely in agreement: "mother, will they drop the bomb?" yes... definite response to The Wall |

Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 128 | February 17th, 2007 at 09:02pm i reckon it's about war, or a guy who went to war and is writing to his mother hence "the shit that i've done with this fuck of a gun you would cry out your eyes all day long" so its about the pain that war caused for the guy and his family, also "stop asking me questions i'd hate to see you cry" basically indicates how horrible war is and the dude doesnt want his mother to know what he has had to do because he's ashamed of it hence "what the war did to my legs and to my tongue you should have raised a baby girl I should have been a better son" etc.
