I think it's what Gerard said. "What you got under your shirt" Normally teenagers keep guns under their shirts. And I think the term "Darken your clothes" is not referring to emo's....>.> That's just my opinion.

this song was written after gerard was scared by teenagers on the train cause they were being wild and violent that made gerard write this song meaning violence is not always the answer to your problems

There's a lot of reference to the future here, with "They're gonna..." as a common phrase. Plus it says "you", as if someone is talking to The Patient rather than him saying this himself.

Conversely, it could be The Patient warning someone else about teenagers.
