I kinda think were all right in the fact that a song is out there to nake us feel differen things in different ways. we all get toutched by a song and thats the piont of it. we all have different views on what it portrays. My Chem oviouslt had an idea when they rote the song what it was about and thats what they get from the song but it can really be whatever we think it does tell us.

This song is definently about losing someone you love, but it's also about and in memory of everyone who died in the war[s], watch the video.

i love this song!! but that music video is so sad!!

I have just a small point to make about one line in the song:

"Ever get the feeling that you're never all alone" - even though people die, there are angels or some higher being on the other side to take care of you.

They said in their dvd that its an anti war song and yes its also about losing someone you love .
Its my top favourite song of theirs. I love it because it expresses emotion and loss of death and its a song were it can have a number of different meanings to people.

Its about, somone really clsoe to you dying,

"at the end of the world, or the last thing i see, you are never coming home", meaning, i will never ee you again after today.


"in my arms she dies", um self explanitory, she dies in his arms and he screams.


the theme of the video is world war 2, gerard says he always wanted to do soemthing with world war 2, and since its a war, poeple will die and there families will ner see them again.

I'm pretty sure that its about losinf someone thats close to you because if u atch the film clip, mikey dies and gerard feels the pain of losing someone that was close to him and he gets the memory of it at the ball after they come back from the war.

It's a really really great song.

i belive this song is about the fear of losing someone close to you. and this is a song that everyone can relate to. every person has lost someone or knows that they will have to deal with it someday.

I think this song is more than loosing someone it is like missing someone, loveing someone and it's very hard.... i remember the first time I heard this song... it was... hard... and painful...

Ok well this is going to be long.

First Off;; The film clip for this song.
Fuck. it is so intense.
You really feel what I think Gerard intended people to feel.
I know when I watched it the first time I was like. O.O
Especially when Mikey gets shot.
And Gerard is screaming and Ray is trying to save him.
And he can't and Mikey diesand Ray just shakes his head.
And Gerard screams again and Frankie and everyone are trying to get him.
And it goes to Gerard in a bar and he is full screaming.
And it looks like he is crying.
I dunno it just makes me cry. It is so emotional.
I can't explain the feeling I get from it but it is really strong.
You feel the suspense from it building inside you while you watch it.
And it catches your breath and you get that feeling inside you.
It is just so weird. It really makes me so sad.

What I think it means;
OK, well I'm compleatly retarded.
I dunno how I got this out of it.
But I kinda thought it was a suiscide note kinda.

Maybe that's just what I want it to be.

Meaning he isn't gonna wait forever for her, and now he is gonna go and she won;t get him.

If he waited they would have bee together. But maybe she madee him wait to long and he gave up...

She never told him how she really felt. No it is too late.

I dunno what that is. Maybe she left him and he knows she is never coming back so that is why he is doing it.

It could symbolise like people trying to help him, but he has allready made up his mind. and they can't help him [never gonna catch me]

He doesn;t want to leave her but he has come to the conclusion that he has to go, but he won;t forget her even though he is gone.

She should move on after he has gone.

Yeah that was long.
But I dunno what crack I am on to come up with that.
I think I'm just a bit fucked up at the moment.

Yeah, well.
She didn't die she walked away from him which is just as good as dying.
So yeah, if you get what I mean.

i luv this song sooo much, it reminds me of my best friend, shoryu, she saved me in a suicidal period i had, and when i ever feel dead of like i dont want to live, i just listen to the ghost of you, and famous last words( i moved schools, so i can't see her anymore)

Gee says its about the fear of loosing someone, but I always interpertedit differently. I always imagined a fictional figure (or maby even Gee) who lost someone close to them, say a spouseor of a friend or something and are contemplating (considering) suicide. I.E. when it says "If I died we'd be together" and "Could I? Should I?"

^^ That's kinda what I was getting at.
But in a more fucked up way.

I thought it was about about a guy who's love died in his arms in some bad situation
