"Today the number one rock band in their homeland, Slovenia, Siddharta was formed in 1995. A typical rock band with two guitars, drums and a bass was later joined by a keyboard player and a saxophone player to evolve their sound into what it is known today, a sound for its uniqueness often referred to as Siddharta sound.
The sales of their albums have smashed all local sales records, the latest album "Rh-" was sold in 5,000 copies in the first week of sales alone, which is an amazing achievement in a country with a population of little over 2 million. In September 2003 for their opening concert of the "Rh- Tour" Siddharta, accompanied by the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, played in an overcrowded football stadium before an audience of 34,000, thus surpassing all Slovenia has seen before. Siddharta's official web page offers its visitor the band's history, discography, complete with samples of all the tracks from all the albums (ID 1999, Nord 2001, Silikon Delta 2002, Rh- 2003 and Petrolea 2006), all the videos, photographs, contacts, and an online forum in 8 languages."

because they're Slovene and all.
But I made this thread because they're my favourite Slovene band.
I've also seen them live and they rock.
I hope they make it in Europe. ^^,
Give 'em a shot, they're worth listening.

But I know for a fact, that it wasn't this Siddharta. |

The Maraton is so awesome. Well, at least the parts where Tomi could still sing.
But, tbh, Kreslin shouldn't've had such a big part of Od Višine Se Zvrti. To me, that's a Siddharta song, no matter what.
And Izštekani, well, it's not all that good. The "spooky version" of Samo Edini sucked. It was really bad. And Tokec didn't do Voda, only Male Roke. I mean, come on, Male Roke/Voda would've been much better.
Klinik was good, though, and Neon (Shusuglao). My favourite part must be the conversations, though, and the whole DVD, when Tomi talked about what an awful decision their name was.
Aaand, the Maraton DVD. Meh, too much talking, not enough live stuff. I wanted to see what Tomi did during Od Višine Se Zvrti.
I'm listening to the remix of Eboran so loud my ears hurt right now.
It's a great song. I can't get over Nord atm. |

He's dead.
Pictures from the 2003 Bežigrad concert are so amazing.
I wish I was there. But well, whatever. They should do one in Maribor.
They were better live back then, too. Tomi sang better, at least in my opinion.
And the dancers and all, it was just. Epic.
They're really an amazing band. |
