My mom won't let me go to Warped Tour in Dallas because its a 6 hour drive and she doesn't want me spending the night in a hotel with no adult supervision. How old does she think I am?! But I guess it would be kind of creepy spending the night with a bunch of strangers... (I only know 3 people out of like 8 that are going) |

A six hour drive, five strangers and you're fifteen..
I'm barely allowed go to small gigs that are two hours away, with my older sister, so I do know how you feel..
But six hours, and staying over...
Mothers don't usually like that.. |

And warped tour was only 45 minutes away, and i was with a friend who is almost 17, and im almost 16, but still wouldnt let me go without them. But there are some crazy people out there. As long as i get to go i dont really care. |

Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 8676 | July 20th, 2008 at 09:33am The only way I can go to to a MCR concert would be IF I'm with my dad and IF a friend of mine is going to be there too.otherwise-no fuckin' way.
But I'll have to wait a lot until MCR come in Bulgaria or somewhere nearby (like Greece or Romania) |

Suure, my parents might say no...but they don't really get it so i go anyway.
But i wouldn't recommend this very much.
Umm...well just buy the ticket and say one day "Hey, i'm going to see MCR in March, BYE" and then walk out and go to the shops or the park for like...an hour or 2 and then when you come back your parents might forget that you said it...
...well it worked for my friend...
But i wouldn't recommend that either until you've had a talk with them and they say you can't go...
Haha...
XD LOL! thats exactly what I do.
I tell my Mum AFTER I've bought the ticket. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 1883 | August 11th, 2008 at 10:00am God I had to BEG my dad to let me go, I was so worked up about it and I wanted to go so badly I was tearing ::blush: though I do that regularly, he was freaked out that something could happen to me, and the concert was only an hour away, he said there were too many red flags, pfffft, I'm 17 c'mon!!! There was my friend's mom, her sister, my best friend, and then my other friend Heather who's 18.
So I begged and pleaded and started the water works
In the end I got to go, hooray for looking adorable when saddened!!!! |

I think it depends on your age, and if your parents don't like the band, tell em to suck it up, I dunno...that's the only advie I can give you |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 4772 | August 13th, 2008 at 04:31pm Hmmm...I usually have to talk them into it...Like I went to mcr a few times and that was okay coz they knew they are my fave band.....but yeah. When we went to see Madina Lake in London..they MADE me go with some people who were older than me. That was actually okay because my friend Tahlia was going and we've known eachother for years!! But we had to have someone over 18...so we took Jack and his friend Beech...who were complete stonners!! I didn't even know!! But I didn't tell my parents that! |

Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 26 | August 16th, 2008 at 03:04pm Normally all I have to do is ask my mom. She'll go through the normal parental standards like, "Do you have rides? Do I need to give you one? Do you have your cell charged? Who are you going with? How old are they? Are you going to mosh? I wish you wouldn't! If you break something, we won't be able to go to the hospital! Do you have money for water?!"
Haha, she gets so paranoid when I leave but I love that woman to death.

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 170 | October 24th, 2008 at 08:36am My Trick is asking them when they are a little drunk ot even really drunk. you know thoses friday night end of week drinks taht sometimes get a bit to much for them.. or say if they dont usaully drink at all ask if you can have a friend and their parents over for dinner get them trashed then and ask for the tickets and if you can go.
If they say yes and when you tell them in the morning there will be no way they will take it back because they feel bad for getting so drunk they let you buy them in the first place.

Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 97 | November 6th, 2008 at 10:38pm Usually my parents say "No, we'll have to talk about it some other time." But instead I never get to talk about it and I don't get to go to the concert! It's so fucking annoying. The main reason why I can't go to concerts is my dad wants to go see his own friends, he doesn't want to go because of friends, and it won't be fun cause he's going to keep asking "when can we go?" and then make fun of the band. I've missed two concerts because of this. Leathermouth+Reggie and Warped Tour. Now I'm trying to get my mom to get me some Smashing Pumpkins tickets but it isn't going well. Help me please? |

Age: 33 Gender: Male Posts: 1061 | November 26th, 2008 at 02:34am Mum generally tells my stepdad he has to go with me. Which was OK for Smashing Pumpkins and Seether cause he likes them, not so much for Escape the Fate and MCR. But I don't care; he just stands at the back and gives me money whenever I need a drink, while I jump into the mosh. |

Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 44 | December 10th, 2008 at 07:31pm its not really that hard.
for mcr april 17th, my mom likes them also and i had it planned since the day the tour dates came up. as long as we have enough time to save up and plan things out, she usually gos with me. except my uncle stole my money, so she had to pay for my ticket, but usually she wouldn't take me.
but she knows how much i care about them.
it really depends.
like she wouldn't let me go to escape the fate november 13th. thats because we didnt have enough money and no one else wanted to go with me, though.
but if i'm going with a friend and i pay for the ticket, she lets me go no matter what. |

Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 421 | December 18th, 2008 at 06:23pm well, To my first concert "alone" was difficult, haha.
I was just 11, so i asked to my dad if he could let me go, so he tought i was kidding ._.
by the way, i went, but with a cousing.
then of that, there wasnt problems to assist to a concert alone(:
so i was a little more big, and stuff. |
