What's in a day at school?
At my school, we start at 7:10 AM and end at 1:40 PM.
My schedule for the second marking period:
1st period - homeroom (10-15 minutes)
2nd period - science (1 hour)
3rd period - math (1 hour)
4th period - history (40 minutes)
5th period - gym/health (40 minutes)
6th period - spanish (40 minutes)
7th period - lunch (30 minutes)
4th period continued - history (20 minutes)
8th period - english (1 hour)
It gets confusing because of the split class for History though.
What's your schedule?

Otay. We start at 7:50 am and end at 2:45 pm.
I don't exactly know how long the classes are. We have A-Day and B-Days.
Here we go.
A-Days
First Period - 3D Design [Art, basically. Since we don't do any 3D designs...]
Second Period - Algebra 2 [math sucks.]
Third Period - English. [I absoulety LOVE this class/subject. ]
Lunch. Joy.
Fourth Period - FACS [Food and Nutrition. We get to cook. ]
B-Day
Fifth Period - Thearter [Ew.]
Sixth Period - World Geography [We discuss A LOT in this class <333]
Seventh Period - Art Foundations [Gross.]
Lunch.
Eighth Period - Biology. [The teacher sells snacks and sodas behind the principal's back.]
And on Fridays, we have lunch after second period.

For three marking periods, you have gym.
For one, you have Health.
Every marking period you change activity classes.
For 8th graders, the activity classes are Woodshop, Spanish, Career Planning/Life Skills, and Art.
If you chose Band or Chorus, however, you have Band/Chorus for
2 marking periods, one marking period for Spanish, and one for Woodshop.

Blimey...that makes no sense to me at all. Ah well. I work on a fornightly timetable, much easier, except when you forget which week it is. O.o
ok well this is my timetable for tomorrow (tuesday...it changes everyday) in my school in England
i start school at 8:45 and finish at 3:35 (all my lessons are 50 mins)
registration - 10 mins
Period 1 - Media Studies (Lesson i chose for GCSE)
Period 2 & 3- BTEC Sport (double lesson, chose it as my option for GCSE)
(in between P.2&3 is Break, 15 mins)
period 4 - English
Lunch 1hour
registration/form period again 20 mins
Period 5 - History (again GCSE)
Period 6 - Citizenship (which is like R.E, but about politics and everyday problems)
How fun does that sound...not very? lol apart from the fact that i have double P.E tomorrow...thats good
Well, we have different lessons every day, but this was todays schedule =D:
Registration - 8:50AM - 9:10AM
English - 9:10AM - 10:10AM
Science - 10:10AM - 11:10AM
Break - 11:10AM - 11:30AM
Religious Education - 11:30AM - 12:30PM
Home Ecenomics [cooking] - 12:30PM - 1:30PM
Dinner - 1:30PM - 2:00PM
French - 2:00PM - 3:00PM
Then we go home =D

^ oh my God, free periods?!?!?! I want!
ha...I love how I'm doing this instead of homework for any of these classes:
7:00- 7:45 - AM Gym (Thursdays only) (aka, slow, systematic killing of spirit)
7:55- 8:40 - AP Biology (aka, be amused by middle-aged man in basketball shoes time)
8:40- 8:45 - Homeroom
8:50- 9:35 - Gym (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays) / AP Bio lab (Mondays, Wednesdays)
9:40-10:25 - AP US History II (aka, be scared of crazy history teacher time)
10:30-11:15 - English 11 CP (aka, ignore teacher to question why I'm not in Honors level, then remember it's because I never pay attention in class)
11:20-12:05 - History of US through Film & Media (aka, watch movies! best class ever)
12:10-12:55 - Lunch! (sweet)
1:00-1:45 - Pre-Calculus H (aka, nap time!)
1:50-2:35 - Spanish 4H (aka, say "que? que?" as many times as possible within a forty-five minute span)

We have 8 periods in a day. Each period is 35 minutes long, and we mostly have double periods, except for our triple tech lesson and single German lesson on Friday. We have different lessons every day and we work on a two week time table.
We have registration, beginning at 8:45.
Periods one and two, starting at 8:55
Break at 10:10.
Periods three and four at 10:30.
Assembly at 11:45.
Periods 5 and six at 12.
Lunch at 1:15.
Registration at 2:15 till 2:20.
And then periods seven and eight until 3:35.

1st block: Math
2nd Block: History

3rd block:english
4A keyboarding
4B: spanish.
