Right.
It's rumoured MCR will appear there this year.

The Download line-up will be announced on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show on Jan 30th after 6pm.

I don't know how certain this rumour is, but I went onto the Download Forum and there is a lot of talk about MCR appearing.

Download Festival is a metal, punk and rock music festival held annually at Donnington Park.

Among those rumoured to perform, are Rage Against The Machine, Aerosmith and Iron Maiden in the headline slots as well as Linkin Park. Acts Such as Nine Inch Nails, Machine Head, Down, Mastodon, Lamb of God, Stone Sour, Fear Factory and Mudhoney are also rumoured to play.

Also, I will change the name of this topic just to Download festival, so we won't get a new topic every year.

what Frank said about headlining download:

"Being asked to headline download festival was definitely a milestone in our lives...just two years ago we were playing the side stage...and now we're closing the main stage! A slot previously filled by Metallica, Guns N’ Roses and even Black Sabbath. These are legendary bands... so how do I describe that feeling? There really are no words to describe that honour. I just can't wait to play."

Just reading the Download Festival forums, them lot dont seem happy. Hopefully alot of MCR fans will be present because it seems several people have brought it up about bottling them.

could anyone post the full line up of bands and all of the dates/corresponding venues for download this year?
i'm really hoping that everything turns out okay at download when my chem play and that if there is adversity, they pull through it.
i don't want anything shitty to happen to them or fans who are going. it makes me a wee bit scared thinking about it.

Yeah some idiots have been saying that, but a lot of people have been defending them even though they still dont like them.

They will be bottled, but i believe a few songs in, when they see their resiliance, and greatness it will stop just like it did at reading, plus they are headling, for the festival organisers to have this much faith in them, i think it might make some people give them a chance,

the right thing to do would just be to go watch someone else on a different stage rather than botteling, i dont get the mentality of these people sometimes!

thankies Smile.
i shall try to find out who else is playing when the news is out. even though i'm not going, it'll be interesting to see what other bands are gonna be there.
i'm kinda glad mcr are going to headline. it gives them another challenge, in a good way, i think. =].

and i have this band, who added me ages ago on myspace, called snakebite, and so far some dood in it has posted two bulletins whinging about linkin park, and especially mcr headlining, so i posted a bulletin complaining about peeps whining over the headlining download bands, which was kind of accidentally on purpose aimed at that guy.
teheheheeee Cool.

Since its officially been announced Mcr are headlining i havnt one read positive message about it on the download forum. It may be a abit chaotic on the Friday, of course the people who are saying about throwing bottles etc could go and see another band playing at the same time which would make sense, but nope they would apparently prefer to throw bottles, bah.

I'm in the middle of the huge MCR arguement. If any fans go, they'll get hurt too.

^ that's what i'm kinda worried about the most.
i have this horrible feeling people who are there to support mcr are going to get the crap beaten out of them. =(.
