Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 1300 | January 27th, 2007 at 10:24pm This is personally my favorite song at the time.
I find it as The Patient recalling and expressing all of his feelings about the world and how we have lost it. How unorganized thw orld is along with the people in it. The line "My Way Home Is Through You" is expressing the one thing in life that makes him feel comfortable
I am probably totally wrong from the bands defination but this is what i think |
Need to know. Salute You in Your Grave

It seems to me like it's from a fan's point of view. Example;
Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know --- As in, "Mcr saved my life"
What I'll do
Just to get back in your arms --- Fans feel better and safer when they're with Mcr
Do you wanna hold my hand?
Could you sign this photograph?
'Cause I'm your biggest fan
Would you leave me lying here? --- The fans don't want to leave Mcr and maybe are relying to much on Mcr
C'mon, Angel, Don't you cry --- Mcr's response to the fans
That's what I think but I could be totally wrong.

I used to think it differently. Like it was him talking to his lover or something close to that. But then again, isn't it "Just to get back in her arms"? |

"Mom and Dad think you'll be saved,
They never had the time,
They gonna medicate your lives,
You were always born a crime,
We salute you in your grave."
I think that in a way could be related to some fans that might have committed suicide and they understand in some way what they went through and that their parents didn't really care that they were depressed and didn't really help or anything until it was too late.
Or something random popped into my head that it could be about Gerard's girlfriend that committed sucide [which Cemetery Drive was about].
I dunno. Just some random things. |

Age: 35 Gender: Male Posts: 100 | January 29th, 2007 at 04:56pm I agree with BlOoD. I agree totally. I think its about how the world is becoming so dysfunctional and the patient is with his lover (same one from Famous Last Words) and saying, "...hold me because the world is falling apart..." |
