Its maybe about the paitent is ingaged with someone he doesn't love becuz really he loves his lover... Sad

Gonna take off all my skin,
Tear apart all of my insides
When they rifle in, (Hes talking of guilt)
Mom and Dad think you'll be saved
They never had the time
They're gonna medicate your lives
You were always born a crime
We salute you in your grave

Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know (His talking to both his lover & the cheated)
What I'll do
Just to get back in your arms (His talking to his lover)

(I Cut out some lines)

Do you wanna hold my hand? (He is saying to the cheated that his sorry)
Could you sign this photograph?
'Cause I'm your biggest fan
Would you leave me lying here? (This is what the Cheated answers)

We're not here to pay a compliment
And sing about the government
Oxycontin genocide
Adolescent suicide (The Cheated is suicidal)
Give him my sincerity
Don't give a fuck about a Kennedy
Heres what I got to say:

Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in your arms

Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in your ar-ar-ar-arrr

Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in your arms

Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in your ar-ar-ar-arrr

Can't find the way (They say that, but I Hear "Can't Fight the Weight"...

When I first heard this song I thought that if it was on the Black Parade CD then Famous Last Words wouldn't be. I think that this would be the ending song if they used it. I don't really know why but I did...

i think its the patient regretting things he said and done to his lover. When he thought he was going to die he was very bitter and angry toward her ("I dont love you"Wink and now surviving his illness he realises he needs her and is telling her that without her hes as good as dead she is the only one that can take him home(a metaphor for being happy back to a place and time before the war and sickness) and he is willng to do anythin to get back in her arms. also in famoous last words the patint says
"nothing you can sy can stop me going home"
so he has this urge and now he realises that the only way home is through his lover

For some reason I think the guys might have written this song after all the initial recording for BP was done. I also think that after they found out how great it was to them, (before they actually started selling it), they wrote this song.

It's like... kind of now how they're feeling fearless about it.

When he says "Gonna take off all my skin, tear apart all my insides" and those first few verses, it's like he's saying they aren't afraid anymore.

I don't know, just something I was pondering on about.

It's a B-side for the Famous Last Words single.

I have been listening to this song all day. It might be one of my top favorites from them. I definately think it is about the fans.

ive listened to this song a lot lately, and then at the same time, ive read all these mags and watched interviews where they talk about making TBP. So now, i kinda think that at the same time it is about their fans, it's also about themselves.

like they've said that with this album they "put it all out there", "dealed with all their personal problems" and something like they had to trust each other, be there for each other when they sat in a room and talked for hours for every single thing about them,

so,for few examples;
when it says
Gonna take off all my skin,
Tear apart all of my insides

its clearly saying what htye did while making TBP.

or when it says;
We salute you in your grave
Can't find my way home, But it's through you and I know
What I'll do,Just to get back in your arms

saying how deeply they trust each other, how good friends they've become and no matter how messed up they're they know that the four other dudes will still be there beside you.
:]

but im pretty sure, this song ahs a third meaning, from Patients story. its so awesome that MCR songs dont have one plain meaning.

I do actually think, that songs means different things to people. It depends on how you understands them. But the important thing, is that they mean something, and is not just a stupid love song, you find it hard to put your feelings in.

But I love it.
It's like it's different from the others in someway.

I've always thought it was about the fans, and that's what I like to believe, even if it isn't true. It sure does sound like it tho.

Yeah I agree that it could be from a fans point of view.

"Mom and Dad think you'll be saved,
They never had the time,
They gonna medicate your lives,
You were always born a crime,
We salute you in your grave."

I think that in a way could be related to some fans that might have committed suicide and they understand in some way what they went through and that their parents didn't really care that they were depressed and didn't really help or anything until it was too late.

Or something random popped into my head that it could be about Gerard's girlfriend that committed sucide [which Cemetery Drive was about].

I dunno. Just some random things.

I'm pretty sure cemetery drive was about his grandma? cos theres a live recording and Gerard says "This song is about the hardest drive Me and Mikey and my band ever went on, we've been on this long road now about 3 years, this song is called Cemetery Drive"

so surely if that was about his girlfriend he would just not say anything or if he did, not say "Me and Mikey" first? I don't know...anyway, this should really be in the cemetery drive thread x] sorry

But I agree completely about the whole from the viewpoint of a fan thing, although my original thoughts were that it was about someone The Patient was close too and he was asking for help when he was diagnosed...i dont know why that thought came to me ^^' i think it was the chorus.

I think they're expressing their opinions about what's going on in the world(because they haven't really made their opinions that clear through interviews):

"We're not here to pay a compliment
And sing about the government
Oxycontin genocide
Adolescent suicide
Give him my sincerity
Don't give a fuck about a Kennedy
Heres what I got to say:"

It seems like they're saying that they don't give a fuck if people don't do anything, and maybe they feel like the world's problems aren't being solved.....?
