There are a few similar threads to this, I believe, however this is a thread to help PROMOTE bands that NEED it.
For example, it might be a local band from your area, your own band, your friend's band - they don't have to be unsigned either!
Just post a link to a website (MySpace, PureVolume etc.) and perhaps write a little about their style of music.
Whore away, m'friends. =D |

They hail from my amazing dodgy city.
Simple rock, with a hint of punk, in my opinion.
The Everglow
If you're into Mae, you definitely should check them out.
Hell, they even got their name from a Mae album.
The only track on their MySpace doesn't have vocals though.
FOR THE BURIED
One of my good friends is the bassist in this band, and fjhgjhadkfjgomgz, they're amazing.
A heavy metal/hardcore band that deserves to be the next Metallica. |

Palomar is a three-lady and one man outfit that
hails from Brooklyn, NY. Their unique sound is Indie / Pop / New Wave. I really hope you check them out because they are really good. Plus, my cousin is the drummer ;] |

Three really nice & awesome dudes from Philadelphia, PA.
Fun, dance-y, catchy-as-hell rock music.

Math/Math the Band
One man band from Boston, MA.
This extremely nice guy works double duty, performing as Math, an acoustic folky act
& as Math the Band, a super-fun synth-pop act.
His lyrics & performances are wacky and just plain fun.

They live in a city not so far away from me.
They're really good, but almost no one has ever heard of them.
Wich is a shame, I've seen them live before and they have something special about them.

Flatine Endings This is my friends band. They're Screamo/punk/alternative, and they're really amazing. They don't have any songs up yet [but they will soon. They won 24 hours of recording time] but they do have a video up, which is pretty awesome.
They're wildly popular. And they're getting pretty huge. They're opening for big bands now. [/rant] |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 8481 | January 31st, 2007 at 11:20pm Here's some New Zealand bands that are just awesome:
False Start. You may have seen some of my posts about them. They call themselves a rock band but the papers agree they're emo. I'm not quite sure myself.
New Zealanders, their new single Mall Goth is on radio now, video to come. FS are playing KillerFest on the 3rd of February.
Australians, they're going back over soon.
CapGunHero are... pop rock? Really cute music (Sweet Tooth is about an ice cream parlour!). My favourite song is So So Sleepless, they have free downloads!! EP coming soonish.
Silence After Summer are only 14/15 year olds and their line up has recently changed but they're still awesome! They are about to start new stuff with their new producer, Sam McCarthy of CapGunHero. EP sometime soon?
Trigger Theory, they're pretty damn good live; False Start's sister band! Rock / Pop Punk / Alternative. Vote for them to play Schools Tour! Hope the link works.
Forever Now is Andrew Morrison's previous band (Andrew is now in False Start). Alternative / Rock / Metal.
So So Modern, they're just <3. Punk / A'cappella / Funk
Lieutenant Funk I saw them at Parachute, they're bloody awesome to dance to. Funk / Disco House / Rock
& that's all I can think of right now :] |

They come from Brisbane, Australia. Write some really amazing and just down right catchy music. Think Hellogoodbye and Taking Back Sunday joining forces.

I'm just gonna stick with rock
The Rabble
Rock/Punk
I love these guys. They're fun to listen to.
Check em out.
Taking The Fall
Rock/Screamo?
A lil band from my hometown.
Seen them live a bunch of times - I love them.

Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 19598 | June 14th, 2007 at 03:10am The Bleeders have been the support band for a lot of big bands coming to Australia.
I know they opened for Avenged Sevenfold, and I saw them when they opened for AFI. I'd say they're pretty hardcore/screamo. |

Rising from Ruins are another local Adelaide band, and I know the drummer. (Wow, I get around!)
They aren't as heavy as FTB, but they're another metalcore screamo band.
Her Latest Flame are becoming pretty big in Adelaide - they played at our BDO and shizz.
I don't actually know any of these guys personally, amazingly, but my friend told me about them.
I think they're amazing, a bit more indie than Day on Fire too, and a lot more melodic.
Half A Smile are another seriously heavy band, like FTB.
Again, they're from Adelaide and getting pretty popular.
There's a few local bands there that I reaaaaally like. ^^, |
