All of these bands are screaming/rock/alternative.
I live in a relatively small tourist town by the beach, but we have a pretty active music scene.

A Frightful Night
Really good friends of my brother.
and they're always playing shows down here.

Arise The Dead
They used to be a band called Stopwatch Trauma.
My brother was in it with them, but then they broke up.
I still love all of them (except the drummer) to death.

Our Fangs, Our Pistols
So, they're my age and the lead singer is about 5 feet tall.
They're kinda stupid with the whole band thing, there are many lessons that they need to learn and they need a good manager that will send out their EP's.
But, they're pretty good. (they are winning tons of battle of the bands stuff and other stuff like that)
They're from a town about 3 hours from where I live, but they play shows here sometimes.

YAY! I like this thread Mr. Green

Danger: Radio
Awesome live. Very awesome. Lead singer is wonderful.
They are powerpop/techno/indie ish. From Seattle, Washington

The Scene Aesthetic
If you think the singer from this band sounds like the one from Danger:Radio well, they are they same person. This is his other band. They are acoustic/indie. Love them just as much as Danger: Radio.

Scene In Stereo (formly Stu's Shoes)
Love love this band. They are my friend's cousin band. I've talked to I think all the members briefly on myspace. All really nice and awesome.
Very happy alternative like.
They are from Portland/Eugene,Oregon.

Tysen
Another band I've seen live. They are powerpop/alternative kinda.
Great live. Have lots of energy. Again from Seattle, Washington.

the Bleeding Alarm
Seen this band live too (same concert as Tysen). They are from Kelowna, British Columbia Canada. I met their bassist outside of the venue and he was promoting their band. Extremely nice guy. Great live.
They are signed but very small. They were just getting by when I saw them. Screamo/Alternative.

Sunderlyn
Yes, saw them at the same concert as Tysen and the Bleeding Alarm.
Pretty good live. From Seattle. Alternative/indie.

Schoolyard Heroes
I saw this band by accident. Another band had canceled so they opened up instead. My friend and I almost fainted from the mosh pit. Very very good live. Great energy. I'm not really into them but they are a band you should check out. Someone described them to me as My Chemical Romance except with a girl singing. I kinda disagree with that but whatever. Screamo/Alternative.
From Seattle Washington.

btw, I'm really bad with putting bands in genres so if I'm completely off..ignore me. I don't like giving bands a speicifc genre anyway.

Hardcore/Screamo

They're amazing.
The song on their myspace doesn't match up to how good they really are.
I help them book their tours.

They've played with Flood Of Red, The Ghost Of A Thousand, We Are The Ocean and alot more.

Riff Riders.

Horrible band name, pretty good music.
They're also my brother's band and I do all their photography/graphic design and a lot of promotion and managing and shit for them.
xD So I'm sort of obligated to pimp them out and say they're good.

The Bigger Lights

of Fairfax, Virginia.
One of the guitarists is my guitar teacher, and they've gotten a great internet following so far.
They've only released an EP, and it won't be on iTunes until February,
but their music is catchy and really relatable.

Their sound is kind of gritty, but nonetheless very catchy. 2 guys, one chick. Plus, they comment you when you add them. :]
