Well, I was wondering what everyones fave look and sound of MCR is. I mean . . . do you like MCR when they were all black and really hard rock sound . . . or do you like them better now, more mature and stuff? I would choose the old look, although I love both I just love the old one. What are your thoughts on this?
P.S If this is in the wrong place feel free to move it!

It just seemed like they were more into the fun of making music then now
Now they seem like they want to make music kinda more depressing and remind you of all the sad things in life.
Before I would say kinda the same thing but thier actuall music(like the guitars n stuff) made it more fun to listen too.
I dont know thats just me. >> |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 83 | February 1st, 2007 at 10:08pm Gerard's singing has, honestly, improved a ton. I like his singing better, and the new songs and their structure, but I listened to Bullets last night, and it was freakin' amazing. Truely, they are them, but I prefer their new stuff like Three Cheers and Parade better, but only because they sound more mature than the early years.
No, they are not darker than before. Three Cheers, to me, sounds incredibly darker than The Black Parade. TBP sounds happier in a way, really. I don't know how. It's really weird.
Would Bob joining be a factor in how TBP sounds? I guess I like the 'Bob factor' then. |

^ My thoughts exactly.
And while I miss the old MCR quite a bit, that doesn't mean I don't like the new My Chemical Romance. Sooo.... |

Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 275 | February 2nd, 2007 at 11:50am I don't like Bullets all that much. Well, no, I just much prefer the other two. Revenge is my favourite album by far, it's all I listen to. The Black Parade is great, and I love it, but hell have I heard it enough times to last a lifetime.
However, the concept around TBP is truly amazing: with the whole dead person, cancer, go join the black parade when you die thing is original and well thought up/out. Revenge is about just as good, and I love the story around that too.
I have to say I do prefer the old MCR though. Though Gerard's hair has improved, I tell you. I never liked the old hair. But I miss Mikey's glasses. |
