I think it has.
I mean Frank and Gerard are off drugs and Alcohol so they have gotten much better.
I saw them 2004 when they opened for green day and they sucked.
Gerard was sooo drunk.
He was liek slurring lyrics and it was just a mess :/ |

Same here.
And I definately think it has improved.
I love their earlier music, but I think Gerard's voice sounds even better now. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 35214 | I think Gerard sounds like a different person on The Black Parade, his voice is real smooth and just heavenly to listen to, whereas on 3 Cheers and Bullets, he still sounds awesome, just real different. Almost like he's queasy. lol |

and got better
but at the same time i wouldnt change the vocals on bullets or revenge for anything
i think his vocals on bullets work really well with the songs, same with revenge. his live performance seems to have improved most but ive only ever seen them twice in 2006 and 2007 so i dont have personal experience of the lder vocals just what ive seen online and stuff
but although his vocals sometimes fall a little in live shows its understandable , i mean he puts SO much in to the shows that if he didnt get worn out n out of breath it would just be strange. But at a live show the vocals dont have to be perfect cos of the atmosphere when your there and the emotion he puts in
i love his voice! |

Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 36 | May 11th, 2007 at 12:25pm Definitly without a doubt it is SO much better. I argue with my friend Derek all the time because he thinks Bullets was the best because they sounded the best. No Way dude. If you listen to their cd's you can def. hear the impovement and the over all sound is better as well. Not that they sucked then, but yeah some of their live shows were aweful. Still love them!! |

Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 97 | May 11th, 2007 at 02:42pm gerards voice has deffinately improved in lots of ways i think gerard has reached his potential and can still find some ways of reaching his ability to put power and energy into his lyrics. Gerard has lots of ways to sing the lyrics and he perfects them everytime |

Gerards voise. Because it seems better live than it used top be. Maby its just because he's clean an dsober now or has he just had lots of exspearence.
Thats my opinion any way |

Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 34353 | April 11th, 2008 at 03:17am I think his voice has changed a great amount since Bullets.
It's a lot smoother in a way.
And it's a bit more clearer as well.
Lyrics are easier to understand live, if you know what I mean.
& The drugs + alcohol have vanished from Gerard.
It's a lot better now that he stopped all of that.
I think now he really realizes the importance his music has on people.
And how emotional it can be.
Of course, the rest of MCR have improved too.
They were always great from the beginning though.
But, the improvement has made a difference to their musical skills. |

but on
The Black Parade is Dead, just the vocals alone sound FREAKING AMAZING on I'm Not Okay. sometimes, ray's had some trouble hitting the vocal notes and whatnot, but on INO, its unfreakinbelivable. |
