Have you ever met MCR?

So, I don't have a story that even compares to any of the ones that I've just heard, but I'll give it a shot.

I have never actually met any member of MCR. The closest I've come is the story I'm about to tell. I'll keep it short, because I'm sure there are very few people that want to read a story about somebody ALMOST meeting Ray Toro. =)

At around 10:30 on May 18th, 2007, my two friends were on our way to meet our other four friends who had told us that they would be waiting by the tour buses. It took us longer to get outside than I had planned, so by the time we got there they had had to go home so we were pretty much alone. I knew that we wouldn't be able to stay long, but I fought tooth and nail to at least stay for a half an hour. The area was fenced in, and there was security kind of bustling around and telling kids that MCR wouldn't be coming out that night. They told us they'd already left, etc. etc. and of course, nobody listenened. So, a half hour passed (in which we met some incredible people, sang a lot, hugged for body heat, took pictures, laughed ourselves drunk) and there was no way out of leaving this time. Dejected, I get into my car and we start driving away, when we hear a huge collective cry go up from the crowd. I swear, I have never seen an SUV turn so quickly than the one I was in when we raced back to see what was going on. We jumped out of the car and saw that Ray had come out of the building and was walking around near the tour buses. Someone started to sing WTTBP and of course, everyone joined in. Toward the end of the first verse, about twenty fans screaming themselves hoarse, Ray turned around, kind of laughed, waved and went back inside.
We waited for a while longer, about another half an hour in which absolutely nothing happened. A few of us believed that Frank might have come out of the building too, as there had been somebody that looked a lot like him come out of the same door as Ray had, but I have a feeling it was simply a product of our ridiculous excitement at seeing Ray in the first place. We didn't stay longer, because we were all already in a heap of trouble for staying as long as we had in the first place, so I guess I'll never know if they came out and said hi or not. Either way, it's an experience I'm never going to forget, and hopefully if they come here again I'll get luckier with meeting them.

Me and my friend were right next to the stage, in the stands and for some reallly weird reason no one was like standing up and dancing exept for us and a few other ppls way on the other side of our section. So every time Gerard would come near us we would reach out our hands and during the ghost of you he saw us reach out for his hand and reached his hand back out right in our direction ! i was in like sucha shock like "OMG he noticed me " sorry u must think i have problems i was just sooo happy tho !
And at the end of the concert I went to the customer service and gave them a letter that they gave to the band ! I could've died of happiness that night and one someday, somehow I will meet MCR i know it, I will do anything it takes to meet them because thats how bad I want it !

- West Palm Beach, Buzz Bake Sale Show, and Tampa, NBT6.

- I met them all except Frank, once at a Meet & Greet at West Palm Beach. I had to pay $15 bucks for a new The Black Parade CD and you were guaranteed a meeting with them. I met Bob at Starbucks twice, once was at West Palm and once in Tampa. I just happened to run into him

What did you say?
- I met Bob at Starbucks first... It was grand! I was at a hot dog stand [hahah] and I look over and see... Bob!
Me: He even has the lipring... He has the lipring.
Sean: That's not Bob.. But that dude next to him has a security pass for My Chemical Romance, though.. So it's Bob!
Me: Holy shit, that's Bob Bryar!
* We walk over to Bob *
Dude: Oh hey.. if you want a picture, just wait a second, we don't want to cause a scene.
Us: Okay.
Bob: Hey!
Me: Heya!
Bob: *looks at Felicia whose holding everyone's [3] hotdogs* Wow, that's a lot of hotdogs! *laugh*
Felicia: They aren't all mine! Haha.
*Dude and Bob talk*
Bob: Hey man, do you have my lighter?
Dude: Yeah, hold on. *Pulls out lighter and tries to light Bob's cigarette but the lighter didn't work*
Bob: Oh well, I'll just use mine.
Dude: *looks at me* Hey, you want a lighter? *Gives it to me*
Me: Thanks! *Takes BOB BRYAR'S LIGHTER*
Dude: You smoke?
Us: Nope.
Dude: Well you should, it's a good habit. *Just kidding*
Bob: No, don't smoke, haha. It's bad for you. Have you noticed there's a lot of jocks here?
Felicia: Yeah, there's a lot of Hollister, too.
Me: Wow, happy birthday to me! *Happy about meeting Bob*
Bob: It's your birthday?
Me: Yeah. [lies LOL] It's my first concert, too. [Umm, not lie]
Bob: Really? *Rambles on about how the Buzz Bake Sale kind of sucks*
*Man and Bob talk*
Bob: Man, tell him he's lying! *to us*
Me: Umm, you're lying!
*Bob gets his Starbucks*
Bob: Alright, let's do this fast.
*We follow him across the Bake Sale to the gates to backstage*

Me: I haven't let go of the lighter since you gave it to me! *shows him lighter*

Me: Thanks! *goes down to Mikey* Hi, Mikey!
Mikey: *shakes my hand and signs my book*
Me: *walks down to GERARD WAY*
Gerard: *shakes my hand* Hi! Thanks for coming to the show!
Me: Th-Thanks! *huge smile*
Gerard: *signs booklet and smiles*

The last time I met Bob was the next day at Starbucks again!
I was walking behind someone, and I was like, "Man, he's got a nice ass." Only to realize it was Bob who was standing in front of me =_=
I stalked him for a bit:


Then I walk up next to him and say, "You and your Starbucks, Bob." He looked at me and didn't recognize me from yesterday until I whipped out his lighter and the other dude went, "Hey! It's you! You look different with your hair pulled back!" So I knew he remembered me. I got another picture and said bye to Bob and the other dude.

I have met them all and my sister and I went to a show in Chicago and theyw ere doing a meet and greet at the Rolling Stone record store earlier that day. They were going to be at a show with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Rise Against. So my sister and I got there and we were one of the first people there which was AWESOME. We waited hours and hours then it was finally our turn to go inside to meet them. It was freezing. My sister went in first and then I followed and I first saw Mikey and I gasped and I reminded myself to calm down. First was Mikey. I gave him my picture and he shook my hand(as did they all) and I introduced myself and he was very nice. I felt bad cuz my hand was so cold but whatever. Then came <3Frank<3. I was so stunned by how beautiful they all were in real life that I could barely say anything besides introducing myself. He smiled and I thought I was going to pass out. I tried to soke in as much of Frank's image as possible,seeing as he is my favorite. Then came Ray,sweet innocent gentle Ray. I introduced myself and he asked me and my sister if we were going to the show later on and we're like yeah and he's like fo real? and I was like fo sho! And he started laughing. Then I was like "Ray may I ask a favor of you?" and he leaned in and said "Sure!" and I'm like "May I please touch your hair?" and he leaned down and told me to go for it. I was like THANK YOU. Then was Bob. Bob was so easy to talk to! He was such a nice guy. Then came Mr.Gerard Way. He was verry nice as well. He signed my picture then gave it to me. I was about to leave but I turned around and said "Gerard can I tell you something?" and he said sure. So I went on: "I just wanted you to know that you and the rest of the band has helped me so much in my life and you guys kept me from doing some really stupid stuff so I just wanted to say thank you for helping me save my life" and he stood up from his chair and shook my hand again and said thank you. and I was like "Thank you." Then my sister and I left and enjoyed the show and afterwards we waited outside for them so we could get pictures. We met up with Gerard,Ray,and Bob(By the time I got to Frank he was leaving and Mikey wasn't feeling well) and got some pictures. They were soo nice and sooo easy to talk to....I wasn't even star struck. But it was the best day of my freakin' life!!! And I will never forget it. And Frank also signed my pink studded belt.I thought that was a fun fact.haha.

How did you meet them? i saw them standing to the side of the stage before muse went on and went over to them.

What did you say? first i saw ray and siad Hi then went to ask him if i coupld touch his hair and he said "NO ITS MY HAIR!" then i put on my scared and confused face..and he said..." just kidding you can touch it.." i touched his hair asked how he liked nashville and then worm came over and said that he had to go get dressed...he didnt go...he stayed and talked to ME! then worm came back and told him that he really had to go now...ray siad sorry to me about having to leave i said its ok..and he siad have fun tonight...and i definatly had fun that night..! right after ray left gerard cam out already dress and i said HI!!! really excited and didnt really know what to say to gee...so i asked him what he tought about llamas...he siad that they stink and have big buts..then asked did i think they had big butts...and i replied with....i try to stay away from that end becasue im afraid ill get pooped on...we laughed..then worm came over again(he always ruins things) and told gee he had to go get his makeup done...gee left...i went back to me seat..

My friend has never PERSONALLY met them, but she has gerard's myspace, e-mail, and phone number. she even called him to prove it to me......im not allowed to e-mail him. she wont let me..... i hate her out of envy but i love her like a sister lolz! maybe we'll get lucky!

Waiting in line for three hours at the Sounds signing tent.

What did you say?
So Bob was sitting at the end of the table nearest to where I walked in. I was like "hey," (but really I was dying on the inside, but I didn't want to show them I was dying on the inside because I wanted to look cool, lmfao) and he was like "hey," and then I was about to hand him Candyland, 'cause I bought it for them, but he put out his hand for me to shake, so I shook it (I think I actually stared at it for like ten seconds wondering what the freak I should do because my brain wouldn't function), and then I handed him Candyland and I said "oh, this is for you guys!" and I laughed. And he look at it and he was like "hey, oh wow, thanks so much! We're playing games tonight!" and he held it up and told the guys to look at it, and Ray was like "oh wow, nice!" and I laughed again. And then I pushed my signing card towards him for him sign, and then Worm I think came and took the board game to hold it for them and Bob called out to him "dude, don't lose that, I want to play!" and I laughed again and I was like "thank you very much!" and he was like "no, thank you!" and I was like "you're welcome."

And then Mikey was next, and he was already holding out his hand for me to shake, so I shook it (before I continue, his hands were SO SOFT! Uh, yeah, I hope that doesn't make me seem weird) and he said "hi" I think, and I was like "hi!" and then he signed my thing, and I could hear my dad talking to Bob and I looked over and grinned real huge, and then I got my signing card off Mikey and said "thank you very much," and he smiled slightly.

And then Ray was next and he smiled real big at me and said "hey, how are you?" and I smiled real big and said "hey, I'm really good!" and I gave my signing card to him and he signed it and then I was like "thank you so so much!" and then smiled again and said I was welcome.

And then Gerard was last and he gave me his hand to shake and I really remember just holding his gaze for a few seconds, his eyes were incredible, and I can still picture them in my mind now, and he said "thank you very much," as I shook his hand and I said "no, thank you!" and he signed it for me and then I thanked him again tried not to cry.

And then I collected a hand full of flyers they were handing out as people exited, and waited for my dad to finish meeting them and then I called my mum and left his huge long rambling message on the answer phone. And uh, yeah, best moment ever.

I'm very proud of myself for acting normal towards them. I went into it thinking I was going to faint or throw up, but they really are just sweet, normal guys.

Yes you will.....next time you go to a concert, before you go inside the venue find out where their tour buses will be at then go inside and buy your stuff so you can leave right afterwards.....enjoy the concert adn afterwards go to the tour buses and just wait. If the security tells you they're not coming out DONT LISTEN TO THEM. They're just saying that so some poeple will leave adn eventually they WILL come out.They have to. So don't lose hope,sweets.....you WILL meet them.It's soo easy!!!!=)=)=)

Where did you meet them? first time i met gerard was in vegas, then i met gerard, ray, mikey, and frank again in oakland. then a couple months after that i met frank again in portland
How did you meet them? first time i met gerard it was just luck- saw him before the show. the other times by waiting by the buses

basically when i first met gerard, it was just a quick "hi", cos he had to go.
the next time when i met them all but bob, first gerard came out, signed my paper, and i said thanks...he left pretty quickly. then frank came out, and he thanked me for coming, i thanked him for signing, and like, he was just kind of staring at me waiting for me to talk, so i was just like "uh can i have a hug ?" and i got a hug from him : D
then ray came out, and he was really nice. he signed my ticket and he kept walking back and forth after signing...ahaha
then, finally mikey came out. by then a bunch of people had left. i was also really shy, and he also was like, waiting for me to talk/kind of staring, so i just asked for a hug

in portland, i got frank to sign my ticket, but it was really quick, since they had to catch a flight to tokyo.

sadly ive never gotten any picture WITH them, just OF them :/
my goal is to meet bob at projekt revolution, and get a picture with any of them..

I personally haven't met them but my sister's friends have.

It was at Big Day Out '07 here in New Zealand and they got to go to the front of the line because one of them (Kia) was in a wheel chair after suffering a stroke.

They met Gerard, Mikey Bob and Ray. Frank wasn't there because he had something wrong with him and he had to go home before they got here because he would've like hemorrhaged or something.

Anyway, they got some signatures and stuff. When my sister found out she told me then I had this huge spazz at her then I called up one of my best mates and cryed on the phone to her for like 20 mins.

yeah I was all like, "AHHHH. EMMA AND KIA JUST GOTTA MEET MCR!!!!! IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!!! THEY DON'T EVEN LISTEN TO THEIR MUSIC MUCH!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOO!"


Yeah.... Lol.

I want to meet them so bad. I was hoping they'd do a signing when they came back here and did their first actual concert here but they didn't do the signing so I was sorta bummed but hey I was in the same room as them! 'Cept for Bob though. He had something wrong with his wrists I thing.
