There is no Good Charlotte thread. I admit that once upon a time I was a GC fan. I actually have a friend who has a GC tattoo. I nearly cried when she got it. Well...since we have threads for Hanson, Hilary Duff, (insert lame has been or never was here). It is time to face the music... Shocked

well, I actually like gc.
I've been so mocked about it, but I don't care. I like them.
Their first album was great, the second was really good, and the third is okay.

I like them a lot. Don't care what anyone else says. Smile I actually prefer their newer stuff to the old, although Hold On is a real favourite, of course. I love Predictable. ^.^

Everyone's entitled to their opinions. And she wasn't being harsh. She didn't insult them or their music. She stated the fact that she doesn't like them. Leave off, not everyone likes them. Rolling Eyes

I remember the first time I ever heard them. Someone handed me their first album right after it had come out and advised me to listen to it and I fell in love with it. I think my biggest draw to them was that they were normal down to earth approachable guys and over time I stopped feeling like that about them. The bigger they got the more diamonds they wore and the more expensive cars they bought. I just felt like I couldn't relate to them anymore. It's hard to believe the lyrics about hardships in life enough to relate to them when you know the guys singing them are driving Mercedes cars, dating and partying with other big name celebrities, and living in 6 million dollar homes. Maybe one day it will pass and I will be over it though. I HATE that I was a fan for so long (since like 2002) and I even knew of them before they hit it big but I can't seem to get back into them. It sucks to put so much time into liking a band and then you feel it slipping away. You don't want it to but you can't seem to stop it, you know? Who knows? I know a girl that's friends with them personally and she says they aren't so bad in a more personal, non-press driven environment and that yes, they've changed but not a whole lot. I know their personal lives shouldn't effect how I feel about the music itself but to some degree it does, you can't help it. Their lives back up the authenticity of the lyrics. I need to stop now cause I'm babbling. To sum it all up, I used to be a huge fan and I'm just a "kinda-sorta we'll see where it goes" fan.
