I was going thru a rough divorce, and i heard "i'm not okay" on the radio alot. I could never figure out who they were cause the DJ's would never announce their name. So i was in record and tape traders one day and i saw their "three cheers for sweet revenge CD" on the rack. i picked it up and read down the song list..and i was like "holy crap! it's them!" My ex-wife was with me at the time and she was like, "No you are not going to buy that stupid CD!" I was like, "Shut up...you stopped being my wife a long time ago. you can't tell me what to do ever again."
and i bought it and just for extra venom, i played it all the way home.

When I first heard them I was trying to go to bed, I had the TV on and it was set to MTV, and they were playing "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" and I got pissed off because it was so flashy, so I turned it off and thought nothing of it.

Then, "Helena" came out and I had no idea those were the same guys. I bought their CD and it was love eversince.

Im Not Okay(I Promise)

saw the video and like a lot of people thought it was a movie trailer, kept watching and couldn't get the song or band outta my head, bought the cd, and the rest is history....But I must say my love for them was cemented when I got bullets.

I swear there's a thread like this...anyways. It wasn't a song. I had read all these magazines and their album was getting such good reviews, I decided to pick it up.

Yeah I think there is a thread for this, somewhere.

Vampires will never hurt you was the first song that I ever heard by them.
But Helena was the song that really got me into them.

I'm not sure what song specifically. I had no idea who tehy were before I saw them open for Green Day in May of 05. I don't listen to teh radio because it sux in Ohio. And after I watched their show, I was like; "...OMFG. I NEED that." I went out the next day and bought TCFSR and I was hooked. It was like crack. My first fave song on eth CD tho was I never told you what I do for a living, lol.

oddly enough the first couple of times the video for I'm Not Okay came on my yahoo video thing I was just like "What's this crap?" and skipped it because back then I almost never listened to anything i hadn't heard of. then one day I was just like "What the hell?" and watched it and I was like "This video is awesome! . . . and that guy's hot!" now it's still my favorite song and it reminds me of the Catholic school I go to.
