i believe it was i'm not okay.
but i first heard about them on neopets, when this chick had a layout which said my chemical romance three cheers for sweet revenge and it had the cover of three cheers on it.
i actually thought it was a horror movie in america or something.
i was so stupid at 11.

Either Vampires or Skylines. I forget which but I thought it was the best thing i'd ever heard in my life Smile

Musta been about...mid 2002 so I was....12?

Didn't hear much else except the bullets album until I heard INO and I was A NEW ALBUM!?!?

rest is history Smile

Helena got me interested in the band, so I downloaded a couple of their songs on my iPod. So then they were just this band that I liked that I'd listen to when I was bored.

But then, last year, I was watching the VMA Preshow because I knew that Green Day were nominated and that maybe they'd show up on the Red Carpet (they were and still are one of my favorite bands). So they start to get into My Chemical Romance's new album and I was just sort of like "Oh yeah, I forgot about them." Then, the minute they started to play WTTBP I was instantly hooked. I hadn't heard anything so amazingly creative and unique since "American Idiot" had come out in '04. So I bought MCR's first two CDs and listened to them nonstop until TBP came out, then I listened to them all nonstop! I realized what an amazing band they were and are now my favorite band along with Green Day. Very Happy

Helena. I might have heard another before that that I didn't really pay attention to, though. I remember the video for it came on right after a friend of mine mentioned MCR, so I watched it.

i remember at that point in time when i saw mcr's video for Helena i was completely blown away by the asthetics of it because much of the music and even music videos at that time were like BLAH so i was pretty intriuged by them and i fell in love with them and the rest was history.

For me it was WTTBP. I saw it on TV. I'm not a poser just so you know.

My first reaction was "who the hell is the freak with the blonde hair" Ha Ha: I love 'em to bits now!

Helena was the first one I heard, I thought it was great, but it wasn't my favorite until later
my sister made me listen to it
before that, I thought they were just a heavy metal band my sister was into
I'm so glad I was so wrong
And then I listened to I'm Not Okay, which I loved, of course
THEN I downloaded Cemetary Drive
And I was addicted
