Age: - Gender: Male Posts: 805 | June 9th, 2007 at 10:43am Helena got me interested in the band, so I downloaded a couple of their songs on my iPod. So then they were just this band that I liked that I'd listen to when I was bored.
But then, last year, I was watching the VMA Preshow because I knew that Green Day were nominated and that maybe they'd show up on the Red Carpet (they were and still are one of my favorite bands). So they start to get into My Chemical Romance's new album and I was just sort of like "Oh yeah, I forgot about them." Then, the minute they started to play WTTBP I was instantly hooked. I hadn't heard anything so amazingly creative and unique since "American Idiot" had come out in '04. So I bought MCR's first two CDs and listened to them nonstop until TBP came out, then I listened to them all nonstop! I realized what an amazing band they were and are now my favorite band along with Green Day. |

Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 318 | June 23rd, 2007 at 07:20am Helena was the first one I heard, I thought it was great, but it wasn't my favorite until later
my sister made me listen to it
before that, I thought they were just a heavy metal band my sister was into
I'm so glad I was so wrong
And then I listened to I'm Not Okay, which I loved, of course
THEN I downloaded Cemetary Drive
And I was addicted |
