I've been trying to get my sister to like MCR
she only likes Helena and I'm Not Okay
she thinks the rest are 'emo crap'
I've been unsuccessful so far though

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 6561 | June 23rd, 2007 at 02:59pm To tell you the truth, WTTBP. Because during the "Helena Days" (or so I say it) I was this little prep who listened to crappy music like Hilary Duff. Then during christmas break of '06, I listened to the song, liked it, and put it on my mp3 player. Then I discovered more songs of MCR and now I love them! So just because i'm a "new fan" doesn't mean i'm a teenie. So chyeah. |

helena, the ghost of you and im not okay.
and they got three diffrent reactions and I didnt know that they were all by MCR
Helena- I think I switched off the TV because it looked too morbid for me.
TGOY- I loved it, my mom hated it, and I though my chem. was a dumb band name.
Im Not Okay (2nd version)- My brother and I were sitting around watching music videos and when Im not okay came on we laughed the whole time because we thought it was so funny. It was the start of something wonderful. hahaha >.< |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 205 | June 26th, 2007 at 11:34am The very very first song I heard from them was Helena, but I didn't know it was them. When I was like 11 or 12 I would stay up late listening to the radio and writitng stories. I heard their record hits and they were always my favorite, but I still had no idea of who they were.
Then last year one of my friends flipped out his I-Pod, I stole it and was listened to his music. He showed me Famous Last Words and I fell in love then and there. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 315 | June 26th, 2007 at 04:37pm I don't remember. One of my friends had gotten obsessed with them, and we were on my computer on the site. She kinda showed me I'm Not Okay, Helena, and Ghost of You al at once. I think it was I'm Not Okay though. I bought Three Cheers a few months later.
I remember when she was showing me the site (Which was all Three Cheers decked out at the time) and I was like, "WTF. They're so morbid..."
Ironically, she doesn't listen to them any more. |
