That part you have there is incorrect, though.
I'll get a correct tab, hold on. |

How much do they usually cost?
What kind of cord do you mean, like a guitar cord, or a USB cable? |

Uhh... it's about a dollar a foot for the cheapest ones.
Get the cheaper ones, because there's absolutely no point in buying expensive ones. |

Distortion pedals = not a good way to get distortion. |

Age: 29 Gender: Male Posts: 2955 | July 13th, 2007 at 08:50pm ^Ya. I got a Death Metal pedal from Digitech. And it sucked fucking cock. I swear. It just sounds like fucking fuzz, and it fuzzes when you're not playing. It was $50 fucking dollars for a worthless piece of shit. |

Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 8038 | July 14th, 2007 at 03:20pm I play my guitar through a Boss DD-3 into a Vox AD30 Valvetronix, with a foot switch.
The Vox amps have good noise supression.
Go for something like that. |

Age: 30 Gender: Male Posts: 1248 | July 14th, 2007 at 07:17pm Is Musicians Friend reliable? Also, here is my wishlist for an effect lineup:
-Cry baby wah
-Reverb
-Chorus
-Delay
What do you think? Is a dist. pedal necessary or useful? |

Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 8038 | July 14th, 2007 at 07:49pm Musicians Friend has to be reliable, otherwise they'd be shut down. Don't worry.
Nothing beats Wah if you can use it.
Reverb really is a perfectionist pedal. If you want a nice solo tone, Reverb is good. Lots of money for not much use.
Chorus is also quite useless depending on what you want to play.
Delay is the best tool ever. It's just so interesting a versatile. Most artist use Line 6 delay modellers, but Boss has two good pedals.
Dist? No. Never. |

Can someone tell me what a switchcraft jack and a three-layer pickguard do? And are they important for basses for beginners?

Age: 29 Gender: Male Posts: 2955 | July 23rd, 2007 at 03:24am Well, I already learned sweep picking in my first year of guitar, but people learn at different rates. I guess playing My Chemical Romance songs would be fitting. Only I guess attempt some of the simpler solos, like I'm Not Okay (I Promise), The Ghost Of You, I Don't Love You, etc. |
