trunk_of_ammunition Jazz Hands Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 270	April 10th, 2007 at 11:22pm i would like it but im not a big fan of turning back, ya no? i'm more up for... progress..and new things. i mean revenge was great. i mean reallly reallyyy great. but i have a feeling that they shouldn't "go back" to something just cuz it was deeply appreciated. just my opinion

But they showed so much growth on the last album, I don't know if they'd go that route again. They said they were thinking their next album should be more "stripped down". I'd like them to return to their post-hardcore roots. I'm sure there's a thread like this.
Fish Camp Jazz Hands Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 335	April 11th, 2007 at 12:30am the revenge "era" is like green day's dookie era or american idiot era to give an example. it's the theme they go with through that (ie horror shit and all, you know, handguns that stuff) and the kind of music on the record (thank you for the venom as apposed to the end as apposed to demolition lovers) cool with that? and i think it'd be kinda weird for them to do that. it'd be like green day (yeah, i use them again) recording a second dookie or whatever. ps, sorry if you hate green day. i don't
F'n'stein xo Salute You in Your Grave Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 4520	April 11th, 2007 at 01:36am Isn't it called a revenge era cuz at the time of the three cheers album everyone like the ties, the suites, red and black, armbands, makeup..etc. Basically the whole out look of the album and what band put out as a theme. and now the black parade is an era of marching band uniforms, the patient, fear and regret kind of thing....right?

'revenge' is, to me, their best album, and it would be soo awesome if they went back to that. but the thing is, they've all grown up and have come along way from it, i dont see how it would work. i may be wrong tho....

It was great; I want it back!! ^ guilty well it is kind of my fave period. if they really are going back to that, i have no personal objections. progress & change & all that aside, i think as a musician - esp an accomplished band like them who obviously hv a lot more freedom in their direction than a starting-out act - u should go with what you think most strongly reflects ur state of mind/artistic vision u have at the moment. & as long as it's strong enough to really unfold into a whole album and feel. whatever. if they feel like there's smthg in the Revenge era that is worth redeveloping & maybe giving it a fresh twist, by all means i look forward to it. And btw, for those asking what the Revenge era is, do watch LOTMS -- if ya don't have it go here: LOTMS on YouTube ..becoz it explains it better than i ever could. specifically, watch part 6 & 11. it's kind of a holistic thing: from the fashion to the story behind it to the lush imagery & iconic, visual elements.

It would be awsome if they went back to it, or somthing similair to the black parade, I just hope they dont continue the 'Danger Days' thing not that I have anything against it, it just wasnt theyre greatest. Yeah returning to the revenge era would be great
