I'll try to find one of my old drum books and scan a couple pages for you, though.
And I'll find some old basic beats in my binder. But I have to find that, too.
I was led on that I was going to get a Pearl set for Christmas, but that seems almost impossible, now.
I've had my shitty set for four or five years now.
Atleast there's a possibility for my birthday. |

I have one.
This one, actually.
They aren't as good as a real kit, however, they are great for people who cannot have a proper kit. This one sounds great, and has several kits in one, so it's not half bad! |

I also have an electric drum kit.
It's not the exact same as this one, but it's pretty close.
The sound quality is pretty good, but sometimes the pads wear out and you have to replace them. (or at least with mine.)
I've just actually got them on my birthday and have been getting lessons for about 5 months.
I love the drums, and I'm not half bad if I say so myself.
Right now I'm just learning the basic rock beats and how to read the notes,
but I can't wait 'til I get into the actual full length songs.
I'll also be getting a drum set probably on my next birthday.
EDIT: for people who are thinking about starting to play the drums,
I advise you to first get the electronic. You'd be amazed at
how much they sound like real ones. You really get alot with them.
You can change the sound to different type of drums, and they come
with headphones so if your parents don't want to hear you banging
away, just plug them in. |

Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 2616 | January 13th, 2008 at 01:04pm That said, electric ones tend to be a fair bit more than a a noramal kit. (at least for an electric kit which doesn't double hit when you hit it once)
Where do you buy new pads for your kit?
(I think one of mine is broke, it misses out sometimes when i hit it >.< |

And, where I bought mine...(GuitarCenter) if you contact them
and let them know, they will reach the company and ask them to ship some out. =)
Where'd you buy your set, it might be different. |

I've never used tabs before, so I'm totally lost. Can anyone explain to me
how to read them?

h = highhat ( I presume closed)
s = snare
b = bass
I find tabs harder to read than music (drum music is much easier to read than music music) , as they often don't show quite right.
Basically, play the high hat through, and add the other peices to make them fit. |
