Thug Life. Bleeding on the Floor Age: 33 Gender: Male Posts: 1315	April 26th, 2007 at 06:05am patience.: Ok. I'm getting kinda annoyed now. The media reports what people want to hear. If people didn't want to find out about these things, ratings would drop, and the stories wouldnt go on tv or be printed. Stop blaming the media for everything, blame society. Society is what drives the media. True i guess if the massess didnt want to hear about emo's they wouldnt run a story. i mean the emo thing is just our generations grunge fans in the nineties i think they called thenm "grungies" or something like that. but i mean if they were going to run a story on it they could at least use a more reliable resource than wikipedia?
GhouliaYelps Jazz Hands Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 255	April 29th, 2007 at 02:45am The sun herald in sydney ran an article on the emo subculture today. they interviewed a guy and a girl. i wouldnt call the girl a real emo... she just like the trend and the hair....and the guy said he moved in to emo because goth became to expensive lol... but the journalists just couldnt control themselves.... they just had to put a picture of Gerard Way in there... oh and apparently Good Charlotte are emo.... coz they had a big pic of them in there as well.... lol .. i opened the article like 'wtf?' lol

You've got people going "emo is a fashion trend" and then others saying "NO, it's not fashion its music" and then others going "anyone who wears black is emo" and then people calling anything from Death Cab to Good Charlotte, to Behind Crimson Eyes emo. It's ridiculous. Can we all just get over it? Even people who proudly call themselves emo, because that just starts the argument all over again. And then we can't blame complex tragedies on something that doesn't exist.

Did anybody notice how they had the same kind of thing on both Today Tonight & A Current Affair, but with different people? Clutching at straws in my opinion

Frankie-Oreo Salute You in Your Grave Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 2818	May 2nd, 2007 at 07:00am a woman was on CIA and the executive producer interviewed her and she said that her father was part of a paedophile ring in the 60's and he had the children in the boot of his car and she saw them (yeah, doesnt sound convincing there, but the interview did, i was shocked)

leeshy Jazz Hands Age: - Gender: - Posts: 342	May 21st, 2007 at 11:02pm What shocks me is 2 girls cold blooded murdering their 16 year old friend, or that a man who raped and murdered a mentally challenged woman is out of prison 8 weeks before his 21 year MINIMUM sentence was up. Or an innocent baby being abandoned to die by her mother not given to authorities just abandoned! What is the world coming to? I really hate the news sometimes

Bleeding on the Floor Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 1026	May 22nd, 2007 at 01:39am the world makes me angry at times. but thats how the world is right now. pretty screwed up. i must say...after studying frontline in year 12, the media can kiss my rear end. dont believe anything you see on things like current affair or today tonight. its usually always one-sided and they shame people by using entrapment, which is appalling.
