The last time I saw MCR in February, I really wanted to get a present on stage for the band. Unfortunately, I didn't know what to give them, and I didn't know how to get a present ons stage. But now I'm seeing them again in May, and I REALLY want to give them something. So, I have two questions:
1) What should I throw up there? Gift cards, drawings, boa scarves?
2) How do you get stuff up on stage? Should I just throw it as hard as I can or will I get in trouble with security for that?

Posts: 18584 | April 22nd, 2007 at 06:31pm Guards will try to stop stuff being thrown on stage for security purposes. You have to be able to throw pretty hard and quick, though.
I imagine if you're near any security guards, and you go to throw something, they'll rip it out of your hands. |

I'm gonna try to throw one too. I bought a yellow one just for the occasion  Maybe it'll be dark enough by the time they hit the stage and the guards won't see. |

it was really cute and i worked my butt off with my mom making it
it was him wearing his black parade outfit
anyway we got to the concert and they started singing and i think during the song mama i held it up when gerard came to our side and he NOTICED ME!!
he pointed right at me and did that thing where he puts his hand out and twiddles his fingers while he makes an insane face
it was the best moment of my life
i almost cried
i never got a chance to throw it though
it was too light and it wouldnt have made it
o well i'll get it to him somehow |

Posts: 919 | April 23rd, 2007 at 06:18am When they came to Big Day Out I took along some Glitter Pens for some reason and at the signing that I didn't get into I gave the security guard the pens to put on the table next to Gerard...I don't know how that helps. Maybe after the show you could hang around and find someone who is likely to come into contact with them. |

but he did tell me that if i hid in the stadium and nobody found me i could try to wait for them to come back out
he was really nice

Posts: 1160 | April 24th, 2007 at 12:55pm i threw up bags of twizzlers on the stage in copenhagen, i was at the barrier but avoided the secutiy guys the only thing they cared about was my camera..
and also if you want to sneek in things tell the security that you're goinig to a meet and greet (if they having them after the show) it workd everytime |

I wanted to throw it on stage last night when I saw them...but I didn't want him pissy...so I burned it afterwards...
Lots of people threw bras at Ray....he thought it was hilarious. |

Posts: 42 | April 29th, 2007 at 02:18pm I hate to burst anoyones bubble here, but 95% of things that get thrown on stage, even if they are acknowleged by any band members, are swept up @ the end of the show & dumped into a trash can. I witnesed this happen while in philly in feb. I also asked my brothers, who have been to a ton of concerts over the years, what happens to all the things ppl throw on stage. They told me that if a band member doesn't personaly pick it up, or say something to a stage crew person, the item(s) WILL get thrown out, without any of them even really seeing it. (other than kicking it aside) |
