Any MCR lyrics you don't like?

I'm Not Okay, Teenagers, and Vampires Will Never Hurt You. (The sun doesn't go into the ground!) I'm Not Okay especially, thats the first song all the haters point to when they want to say that MCR is 'whiny' and 'emo.' To be honest, if they only heard that one song, they would not be without reason. (Which is why you shouldn't judge a band by only its singles.)

That being said, I think MCR has better lyrics than a lot of other bands.

y'know, it's really not MCR's fault that people label I'm Not Okay emo. maybe its just becoz a lot of emo kids (and i'm almost pretty much one) relate to INO very well. it *does* talk abt being a misfit & getting over being a loser, etc. which surely is a good thing becoz there r so many misfits out there who feel that someone connects with what they're going thru. (i personally wish the song had been around when I was an awkward teen in school; wd hv made me feel a lot better.)

as for the sun going into the ground, it is obviously *not* meant to be taken literally frm a scientific pt of view! =P imho Vampires is a fine piece of songwriting... but u're perfectly entitled to ur opinion & im not saying u're wrong..

but thats only because when i first heard it i thought it said
"well mother was the warden to my legs and to my tongue" and i had to completely rethink the song lol

I was freaked the first time I heard it.

I was all like, that doesn't make any sence! It's not like them to have such a random line!

But now I know lol.

I don't know why but I hate saying really nagative things like;
"Go to hell" Or "Over my dead body"

So sometimes I don't really like singing
"Mama we all go to hell."


Yet it's one of my favorite songs, especially live.
On the whole I think MCR's lyrics are pretty meaningful and poetic.

Same here

I never used to like 'I Will Avenge My Ghost' in a breathy voice. But now I do. Sometimes, I won't want to sing along to a song like 'Cancer'.

There is one mcr lyric i really don't like. Its the line where Mama when it says " And right now their building a coffin your size.".

i mean, i can think of verses that get stuck in my head so much they drive me insane, in a good way, but i like all the lyrics.

Right off hand I can't think of any I don't like. There are a few I may not undestand but I love all thier songs.

all of the Blood lyrics make me go 'WTF?' I don't hate them or anything, I just dislike it.

I don't like the beginning of "Sleep", I fast-forward through it.
Also, I'm not a big fan of the lyrics to "House Of Wolves".
