Well, the whole thing is "We are young and we don't care, your dreams and your hopeless hair, we never wanted it to be this way, for all our lives."
Since we've all established that it's about teen pregnancy, I don't have to go into that. So, I think that part means that the girl is too young for a kid, and neither of them wanted it to be like that. And the hopeless hair... teenagers should only have to worry about the little things, like a bad hair day, not a baby.

its talking about war...he's saying that they are planning on sending you off to war where you might and probably will die...and so they are building your coffin for you early knowing that your gonna die |
