ZodiacStarrs Thinking Happy Thoughts Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 456 | My friend Kara, her friend, and her sisters are going. I would have went with her, but they already got the tickets. |
beneath it all. Awake and Unafraid Age: - Gender: - Posts: 12101 | I would go for TBS and Madina Lake. But, the good places are way too expensive, I would never pay that much for a concert. I would like to go, but I can always wait until those bands come back. You guys have to post pictures. |
stormygirl84 Jazz Hands Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 301 | I wish I could go, but as it's a festival type deal (like Lunatic Luau, Warped Tour, etc.) AND in the middle of the work week, I can't. I was at the 4/28 William & Mary show, though, and they ROCKED. (So did Muse.) Best night of my life. I'd love to see them, plus the other bands, but I just can't. Besides, I hate the Amphitheatre. Really and truly hate it. The few concerts I've gone to there have been good, but not nearly as good as at the Norva or at the Hampton Coliseum, or even the Intelos Pavillion in Portsmouth. I prefer smaller venues - you can get closer to the bands!!! Is it possible for us to keep each other posted on later tour dates, when it's just MCR performing solo and NOT an All-Day thing? I REALLY want to see them again. I know last winter they came to the Norva (I had tickets and MISSED the show because of a crappy friend of mine....) - do we know if they're planning on coming back in the winter? I thought I'd seen something about them going abroad. Come back, boys, come back! |
stormygirl84 Jazz Hands Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 301 | UPDATE! SCREW IT, I'M GOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If my boss can up and leave three girls to handle our two busiest days of the week by themselves just because she has an opportunity to go with her husband on a business trip, THEN I'M GOING TO SEE MY BOYS!!!!!!!!! You know what? Life is short. Who the hell knows when I'll get another chance to go see them? Screw it. I'll probably end up working every day for the rest of my life, but how many chances am I going to get to see my favorite band? I'm-going-I'm-going-I'm-going-I'm-going...... |

stormygirl84 Jazz Hands Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 301 | Awesome, we'll both be there! |
dez55 Killjoy Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 38 | Sorry if this is not the place to do this, but I am selling tickets to this show if anyone wants them. My hubby won them from Best Buy, but I'm due to give birth real soon, so we cannot go. Yeah, I know. I wanna cry too. But someone else out there should get these decent seats. Here's my ebay page: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140146153496&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=004 Hope that works, or PM me, or email me (that's probably best, actually>geishagurl55@yahoo.com). Sorry again to the mods if I'm in the wrong here! |
stormygirl84 Jazz Hands Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 301 | Well... Congrats on the baby! It has to be some consolation, right? At least you're missing it for a good cause. I missed the December show at the Norva due to a crappy friend who welched out on me. Besides, as hot as it's been (and will probably be), you'd be miserable there, and it's not safe for you. Good luck selling the tickets, doll, and again, congrats on the little one! |
dez55 Killjoy Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 38 | Thanx stormygirl84. Too bad you missed the Norva show. It was sooooooo good! It was really cool to see them in a more intimate setting, too. It wasn't all pyro and costumes that night. I didn't know it at the time, but I was pregnant at that show. I've actually seen them twice since I've been knocked up (I saw them from a safe seat at William & Mary). We should totally get together if and when they come back to VA. Anyway, why am I blabbering on?? Thanx again! |
stormygirl84 Jazz Hands Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 301 | I still think we should totally make "INO" t-shirts to wear to concerts so all us kewl INO members will know each other when we cross paths... But that's just me. I went to the W&M show, too, and I loved it, and I plan on seeing them every chance I get! I really regret not just going to the Norva show by myself like I did at W&M. I wound up chatting with tons of people, anyway - MCR is right about their fans, they (we, I'm part of that number, too!) are the best ever. So much friendlier than I ever expected. Dez, we'll do our best to post pics for you, at the very least. You should still be able to experience it! Do you have MySpace? They're going to stream one of the full Proj Rev shows live at some point in August, if so... I'll try to find the link for you. EDIT: Here's the MySpace page that'll have the live stream. I don't think they've annouced when, however. Just sometime in August. It's not the official Projekt Rev MySpace page, though, that's a different one. |
dez55 Killjoy Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 38 | Aww, damn. You're such a sweetheart!! Thankyou. We should totally get together sometime. It's ironic, I just saw my Doc and he wants to induce me on the 14th! Ha! But thanx again for the link, hun! |
stormygirl84 Jazz Hands Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 301 | You're welcome, it's no trouble - I'm just sorry you have to miss it. Did you have any luck selling those tickets? On the 14th?! Well, that's a sign - you've seen them twice while pregnant, AND they're going to induce you on the day they're here... If you have a boy, you better be naming him Gerard or Frank or something. Even Bob would work! Just kidding... And OH THANK GOD! The temperature has dropped! Last week it was well above 100 - now it's down to 85! Let's just all keep our fingers crossed that it stays this cool through Tuesday night, please! Nobody needs to die of heat exhaustion that night. EDIT: Okay, they're streaming it live on August 22 at 2:30 PM Pacific... So I'm guessing it'll be at about 5:30 our time. Just keep checking that afternoon to find out. |

stormygirl84 Jazz Hands Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 301 | SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Good to see I'm not the only one up at the ass-crack of dawn! Okay, shower, breakfast, grab water, grab camera, grab phone, get my ass in the car and MOVE! Bahahahahaha!!!!! Projekt Revolution, baby! |
I'M_NOT_OKAY!! Awake and Unafraid Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 10958 | WWWWWWOOOO I AM GETTING READY TO GO!!!! SEE YA THERE!!!! |
Damage Control. Salute You in Your Grave Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 3136 | That was SO awesome!!!! I loved the whole David Cassidy bit and the thing with that dudes band. That was f-ing amazing!!! I was singing and dancxing my ass off!!! Plus, the girl next to me was really into it too, which is always awesome. She had the BEST pink and black outfit. I know, off topic, but it so rocked. |
stormygirl84 Jazz Hands Age: 40 Gender: Female Posts: 301 | I had FUUUUUUUUUN!!!! I just wish now I'd either been in the pit or on the lawn. I was squished into seats between a bunch of Linkin Parkers who kept giving me dirty looks while MCR was on. I didn't even get to bounce properly with Gerard because we were so tightly packed in. I still say the W&M show was better, though. Smaller venue, MCR solo, Muse opening... Best night EVER. But Projekt Rev was awesome, too! I put a shout-out up on that text message thing between sets to "all my chicas from INO," but I don't know if it got shown, or if anyone saw it... Shirts or no shirts, I was thinking of y'all! And did anyone else notice that for once, the cameraman seemed to have a thing for Ray? We got close-ups of him for nearly the entire show (not that I'm complaining, I was personally in heaven every time that lovely face came up on the screen). It was awesome, I'm so used to Frank getting all the "non-Gerard" attention - finally, proper love for the Toro! AND HOLY CRAP, OMG!!! The song that Ray and James were playing together while Gerard was talking (when is Gee not talking?), saying how they appreciated everybody coming out, and thanking Linkin Park for inviting them on this tour and all... I bet 90% of people didn't recognize it - BUT I DID!!! It's was "Faithfully," by Journey, one of my all-time favorite songs by one of my all-time favorite classic rock bands!!! YESH!!!! I nearly went in the floor when they did that. God bless Ray. And HEY!! Where the hell was Bob?! |
blackened Bleeding on the Floor Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 1063 | stormygirl84:Damn I didn't see it! We were watching it for the longest time too, because my friend sent one that said "Gerard take your shirt off!" haha xD We never saw it though. This was, in all honesty, the best show I've ever been to. I was like a thousand times more into it and excited than the last time I saw them. I have never screamed so loud or jumped so much in my life! I'm all sore and sunburnt and my voice is gone, but of course, it was all worth it. I'll try to remember some highlights and extra info but it's 6am and I'm dead tired. We went home (3hr drive) right after the show. x[ Oh! And I almost forgot, we were right at the barricade, dead center! =D It was fantastic. - First, Gerard had something written on his hand, I think it said "Tell" (?) Not sure though. - And, as my friend pointed out, it looked like he had a hickey on his neck. - Gerard's David Cassidy "story" before prison. I hope there's a video of that cuz I fucking lost my head right then and there! xD - The handlicking!!! - The small amount of frerard moments, which really weren't anything special compared to what's been going on lately. Frank didn't seem entirely into it as usual. - When Gerard stuck his hand down his pants. - When Gerard got the boys to take off their shirts. - And my friend swears to me she heard Gerard say he was about to throw up. She says she thinks he actually did cuz she heard people who could see from the side go "ewww". Wow, I must've just missed the whole thing or else my friend's hallucinating. xD - We threw a gift onto the stage, it was just these five little voodoo doll type things (we didn't make them) that were supposed to represent the 5 of them. And when Frank saw them, you could tell he was like "What the hell...?". But he hung them on his mic stand! haha! - (probably the greatest moment for us) Right before they came out, my friend put the boa on that we brought and during the first song, Gerard saw it and motioned to throw it to him! She threw it but it didn't make it and we were both screaming our heads off at the guard to pick it up! And Gerard was even trying to get the guard to get it for him! Well, he finally got it and he wore it during Mama! That was like the greatest feeling ever! I'm sure there's more I can't think of at the moment. Oh, I have some pictures and a few short videos but I'll have to post them later because I'm about to fall asleep! Yeah, and sorry for the hugeass post. =[ |
I'M_NOT_OKAY!! Awake and Unafraid Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 10958 | You threw the boa?? I got so many pictures of it when he was wearing it=] I got 2 messages up on the screen. oen said I love you MCR and stuff and then the other one said scream for MCR to play something from bullets!!! A lot of people screamed, but no bullets=[ But I am so happy cause at first I had lawn tickets but I got new ones so I was right up front=] it was so fun. When Gerard was laying on the stage before Cancer I almost wanted to cry. Gahhh there is so much more... =] I loved it!!! And I think the camera man did have a thing for Ray=] |
