The last MCR The Musical thread disappeared. So, here is the new one.

There is more to the musical now.

Gerard is the main character.
The setting is an office at the moment.
The dialouge will be based off of the song "Cublicles" for the beginning.
Ther will be an "Eliza" like character in the office.
Other band mambers will be apart of it.
It is about the band but also involves their personal lives.
Not everything will be fact. The truth will be strtched. Some parts will be dramatic, sarcastic, etc.

This is a serious thing that is happening so serious ideas only please!!! Thank you.

Umm, so basically, just what was said above is true. We still have to work everything out with thew team, and would enjoy more input. There will be singing near the water cooler, and arguments around the printer

Soooo, if anyone wants to say anything about it, anything at all, feel free to. We were thinking of changing the lyrics to cubicles, to fit the play. Get it, cubicles??? Ehh, maybe it's not that funny....

I'm not saying it will go through. Ever seen office space? It will kind of be like that. Just everything is in the office.

Yes. I'm going to school for play writing currently, so I know alittle bit about it. And it won't really be about their lives. Just a musical in an office, with some inspiration from their lives.

So, I assume this has an actual story line, right? Like, with a climax and a plot. I love the office and office space, but neither of those shows really have a plot. It's just kinda, you know, messing around and stuff.

I'm still developing everything. We just have the basics for now, but I want there to be an actual story line.

totally!

i see it beginning in front of a cathedral, and starting with that scenario from Heaven Help Us. one of the guys, the main char. (I see Gee or Mikey mebbe) is being hunted for being a vampire or some Frankenstein creation & seeks shelter frm the cathedral. which is actually a coven of sinners called the House of Wolves.

i see it being sort of noir-ish, like a dark crime thriller but with a supernatural theme.
Heroes.

I'm kind of glad someone brought this up, now I won't sound so weird, although my idea is much different.

I thought it would be cool if an/the MCR musical was like Across the Universe. I haven't actually seen that movie, but I know the Beatles songs in it tell the story, right? Well I thought they could easily make an MCR movie/musical like that. After all, TBP is a concept album. I imagine the beginning would be The End, and it would be the band (or a cover one if necessary) "explaining" the background of the movie to the audience. Then, they would show a dead girl (For some reason, I just don't see the patient as a boy in this case.) and sing Dead! That would be the prologue, and then the movie/musical would actually start. I haven't given much thought to the in-betweens. Basically, though, I see the main character as a girl who dreams of being a rockstar/singer and then all the "conflicts" from MCR songs could be thrown in (dying of cancer, being suicidal, etc.). I think at the end, the girl would get cancer (then of course, sing Cancer to her boyfriend in a hospital), be afraid to die, her boyfriend would sing FLW, and she would cry as she died.

Then, as an epilogue, I see her waking up in the clouds, if that makes sense. The Black Parade comes, she tells them how she is afraid of dying, and then Gerard would say "Take my hand and never be afraid again." WTTBP would start, and her family/friends still alive would join in the singing and take her to heaven. THE END.

Kind of weird idea, and not much plot yet, but I thought it would be cool. Any ideas or feedback?

MikeyFreakinWay's idea is lovely. Then again, PC's & Godzilla's Cubicles story is pretty neat too... do u think maybe it could be combined. as in the girl has a day job in an office & maybe thats where she meets her bf?
