Your interpretation of excited or exciting. Could be like bright colors or something that has a lot of motion or whatever you associate with it. |

Horror & Macabre
The theme for this week is horror & macabre. You can do whatever you want, but the banner can't be greyscale. The images must involve color in some way, even if it's just the text.
Rules
- You may use any effects you want to on your banners.
- Banners can't exceed 600px wide x 400px high.
- You can't share your banners with anyone before the results are announced.
- You can only enter one banner per contest and banners must be made specifically for the contest.
- You must PM your entry to me by Thursday, 20th September.

And really, there shouldnt be that many rules.. or at least, not that strict.
This is about having fun and showing us what you can do, not having to hold yourself back.
And heartstrings, please... use greyscale, althought not completely?
Personally, half and half would be quite interesting.
Do whatever you need to do

Posts: 11966 | September 18th, 2007 at 02:32pm What rules don't you like? I used pretty much the same ones as the icon/avatar contest, I'm still not sure about the size restriction. I just put that in there because it was mentioned before.
As long as the banner involves some color, it's fine. What I mean by greyscale is where the entire image is black and white and there is no color at all (that's why I didn't say black and white, if you set the mode of your image to greyscale then the image editor doesn't allow you to use color).
As long as there is some color in the banner somewhere then it's all good, even if the color is just in the writing or something. |
