Posts: 8710 | November 12th, 2007 at 05:01pm I've lost some people in my family and I prayed to God to let them go to Heaven and be happy.
I was also very, very depressed a few months ago. I prayed to God and asked for help. Within days, I was becoming better.
I'm not very religious, but I believe in God and when i'm desperate, I pray and my prayers are usually answered. |

He's always there for me when I need Him,
I always have a shoulder to cry on even if no one is there for me
He comforted me when I told my parents I was raped as a little girl
And gave me real unconditional love at a young age , Im engaged
He simply loves me and I'm very thankful

I just kinda randomly talk to God in my head.
I don't know why,but I do. It's kinda comforting.
And ah,what He's done for me.
Well there's a lot.
But He gave me life and gave me my friends and family.
And He let my granddad die peacefully with no pain. |

Really, I have no problem with religion, in fact, I think it is a good thing, in small doses.
Religion should never hold you back from things that just part of life, and people should never take it too far. It's people that make religion into a wrong thing, not the beliefs themselves. I think this is a great thread, but I personally don't believe in God as "person," especially an authority figure. I think God should be the image of what we think is everything good, not who we pray to.
Thank you, and if anyone would like to give me their opinion on what I just said, I do have an open mind.=) I won't immediately tell you you're wrong, and I think those who are faithful to their religion should try to do the same. Thank you.=) |

It's not the highlight of my day honestly, but it makes me feel more...I don't know, cleansed?

Sometimes I think God gives me signs. I know this sounds really weird but I think my dreams are just signs from God & things I see during the day are signs from him that let me know everything will be ok & I'm going to make it. |

He's given me a lot. A happy family, considerate friends, good grades, and daily strength.

I really should more.
I think some of the reason that I'm not as close to God as I used to be is because I don't like my church.
All it is is little kids and old people.
And my youth leader is convinced I'm going to hell and all he cares about is himself.
=/
But at least I know that there is someone out there that is always watching after me and that always loves me.
