I have serious problems talking about myself and how I'm feeling, I actually become mute. So I write it into a song instead. But if the song directly says I Feel This Way, i find it really difficult to sing it. So I write it in a round about way. Like I wrote a song about how a girl feels, then called the song Talking In Third Person. It's on the poetry board if you wanna read it to see what I mean. there's so many different things you can do with lyrics. It's great. |

I use that to write lyrics as the pop in my head so I don't have to scramble for pen & paper. |

Currently i'm penning a few songs for a friend who is studying music composition & needed lyrics to work with. so, i havent stumbled upon a paid songwriting job so far.
Anyone know a good website that acts like a portfolio for aspiring songwriters? kind of like those websites that feature creative advertising work by young creatives to help them get spotted?
in the meantime, songwriting is 1 of my foremost hobbies ....  & it gives me immense satisfaction that few things in life can |

I find that having a large vocabulary always helps with songwriting.

I also find that with anything I write, I need to rhyme it.
I don't know, it's just something I do or else it doesn't sound natural.
